Jayco Eagle HT 26.5 RLS

I cannot extract or retract my awning nor turn on the awning lights without using the remote. This seems odd, I could not find a switch, there is nothing in the owners manual and dealer is clueless. 2018 Eagle Ht 26.5 rls. Am I missing something? Thanks

There's not a switch(s) inside the control panel ??? Same panel where you check your tank levels, turn on HW heater, open slide, etc.

No Nothing. Also nothing in the owners manual. Asked dealer twice, they don't have a clue. Thanks

You need to contact Jayco directly and explain to them what's missing.

I would remove the panel. The controller for the remote should be directly behind it. The awning and awning lights should be wired to both the controller and the panel physical switches. It the wires are not connected to the panel or the switches are not there, it should be pretty obvious. The physical switches appear to be in the same location on my 26.5RLDS as the picture of the 26.5RLS on Jayco's website.

Thanks madmax. I'm gonna check that today. With the lack of quality control on these rigs they probably forgot to put the freaking switches in! And why didn't the dealer know this? I haven't found anyone who doesn't have both a remote and switch. Thanks again.

What did you find behind the panel?

The switches are there but difficult to see, (and they work.) Why didn't the salesman point these out? When I picked the rig up an "expert" spent an hour with us showing how things worked. We specifically asked about manual switches for the awning and he told us works only by remote. I also spoke to 2 other salespeople (same dealer)and was told the same thing. This is why I never looked or thought about manual switches. Thanks to you (and this forum) I have learned something.

You stated the real problem, "experts". Glad you got it figured out, though!
