Jayco Queen Bed Mattress - Replacement

Replacement for Jayco Queen Bed Mattress. Any suggestions. All ready tried memory foam on top of existing Mattress (if you call it that) Looking at mattress that comes in a box. Any suggestion would really help narrow the search list.

I have a 2016 Jayco Eagle HT 29.5

Thanks

We got the Zinus 8 Inch Gel-Infused Green Tea Memory Foam Mattress / Cooling Gel Foam / Pressure Relieving / CertiPUR-US Certified / Bed-in-a-Box, Queen
from AMAZON...due to the layout of or bedroom, foot of bed hits opposing slide thus had to keep under 8" thickness...greatly improved my sleep and comfort.

I like our short queen zinus 10 inch. not to soft but very comfortable. A little heavy so added shocks to help lift bed to get under it. Now have a zinus 12 inch king at home and a queen 12 in Florida place.

The first thing we did when we got our Pinnacle was take out the Serta mattress as sleeping on a rock may have been more comfortable. We've gone thru several mattresses in both our house and the rv's we've owned trying to find that perfect one. One thing I've learned is giving advice on which mattress to choose is a risky business. While I may think my mattress is the best thing ever you might think totally the opposite. A lot depends on your sleeping style: back, side or a combination of both. Also your weight is a factor.

If you have a mattress store nearby I would suggest trying some out. I'm a side sleeper and a firm mattress doesn't work for me. The wife is a little of both. We recently decided to change mattresses in our house and went to a store. They had a variety to choose from and we both ended up liking the Casper Original Hybrid the best. A great combination of softness and firmness that suits us just fine.

I bought a memory foam mattress from Costco for the Pinnacle, a Sealy Cocoon, and wish I hadn't. It got great reviews but it's way too firm for me. I may wind up donating it and getting a Casper. Sorry to be so detailed but a good night's sleep is important business.

Whichever mattress you get, it will probably be quite a bit heavier than the original. Look at replacing your lift struts underneath. Inexpensive and easy to do. Ours were 100#, we replaced them with 120#. Probably could have gone with 150#.

If you belong to Costco, I would recommend starting there. They have a great return policy, so if you hate the bed you just have to get it back to the front door. We have a Costco Novaform memory foam in our house and RV, love them both.

We bought a Casper from Costco for this reason. In theory you can return a bed in a box you mail order, but just try to pack it back up! Not sure it's possible without special equipment. In the end, we didn't need to return it, nearly as comfortable as our Tempurpedic at home at a fourth the price. But as noted above, you don't know what works for YOU until you've slept on it multiple nights.

We use a Zinus 10” memory foam mattress in our rv & Purple hybrid mattress at home. The Purple is like sleeping on a cooling cloud but the Zinus helps us sleep just fine for 1/4 of the price.

Thanks for everyone suggestion. We are hoping that we will leave from Canada for Florida at the end of February. So we will be looking for suppliers while we are done in the Heat & Sun.

Mattress replacement

Try Wilderness RV mattress Co. 10 year non prorated warranty. RV sizes. Different firmness available. Comes in a box. We got the pillow top and love it. The first one we got sagged after a couple of months. They replaced it immediately. Highly recommend this company.

Latex mattress with organic cotton? Not sure what organic cotton is, tried to look it up and I guess it's from India. If you like it, I'd go with it.

I also just upgraded to a Zinus 8" memory foam mattress and am very happy with the change.

I did keep my old mattress to use when I take the bodies off of vintage cars to roll the stripped body around on to work on the frame side of the body. Waste not want not...

Replacement

We have Original Mattress Factory in my home, so we swapped my TT mattress out with the same one. It is a lot heavier. We went from duel 100# springs to duel 200# springs and beefed the frame up to help with the extra push from the springs. It is also taller. I am happy!

New Queen Mattress

I also replaced my queen mattress with one fro Brooklyn Mattress and couldn’t be happier. They shipped it in a box and it was easy to manage. Opened it up in the bedroom and it laid right out. It also comes with a 90 day guarantee. 🤗
