JayCommand and Generators

After many years enjoying our 30.5BHLT, we're moving up to a 377RLBH. The particular trailer we are picking up on June 20th, doesn't have a generator prep package. Eventually I want to add an RV Onan, and have a question on the connections.

With the JayCommand system, I don't think that there is a separate inside Onan Start panel, but it's integrated with JayCommand. My question is how does the generator remote start interface with JayCommand? Does it have a separate controller? Onan plug in directly to the JayCommand hub or individual wires into JayCommand?

We fid not get the generator prep package on our 2020 Eagle 334 RLOK. The dealer added the Onan 5500 LP generator. They were clueless on how to integrate with JayCommand. Jayco in Indiana is clueless also.

So now we have a separate Onan panel. Not what we wanted.....but loving the generator!

I sent a note to Jayco for the wiring diagram, hopefully that will yield some light. I have to imagine it's either a separate module, or the primary hub has inputs for the start, stop, error etc.

Once I get the camper home, hopefully I'll be able to see how things are wired up, although it's usually a rats nest to look at.

Yes, it is in the JayCommand app, but your dealer has to put it into programming mode to add the generator. Unfortunately, dealers don't seem to be really savy on the system. Given this, there must be a way to connect to the node.

Do you know if the generator controls plug directly into the node, or if it requires a separate module?

I read somewhere about taping 7 times at the top of the screen to enter setup? Not sure how accurate that is though?
