JayCommand BMPRO Generator Remote Start & A/C Start

We are looking at purchasing a 2023 Pinnacle 36KPTS. Can you start the generator from the phone app? For example, when I am going down the highway and about an hour away from my destination I would like to be able to start the generator while going down the highway without pulling over. I would also like to start the A/C's while driving so the interior is cooled down when we arrive. I realize the bluetooth connection may be too far when in the cab of the truck but what if we have the BMPRO connected to a hotspot in the trailer so it is reachable from anywhere?Does anyone know for sure if both these are possible?

I can start and stop both my generator and ac from my phone. I’ve never tried it while going down the road, but I don’t see why you couldn’t.

Can't say about starting them going doing the road, never tried it. The Bluetooth works fine from the cab, or so say the BMPRO TPMS sensors on the wheels.

The only way to do what you want is to disconnect the wire at number 64 on the node. It is a safety feature that keeps you from operating the slides or the leveling system while hooked to the truck. It senses any signal from the truck, whether it be applying the brakes or turning on the headlights, thus disabling those features until you unplug from the truck and then use the leveling control pad on the fiver and not through the app. Took me a long time to figure out why my app wouldn’t work when we got to an overnight stop that we didn’t unhook from the truck. Learned about the node disconnect here on the forums. Now it works like you want and I want it to.

yes ^^^^

and OP...I replied to you on the other forum...here is what I wrote...

I think you can, but you will have to disconnect one wire and cap it off from the Jaycommand node. This wires locks out motor functions while driving.

I disconnected this wire because it would lock out things when the 7 way plug is connected to the truck and cause much frustration.

The wire is #64 "brake high input" just press and hold the tab for that wire, pull out and cap.

The big problem is you'll have trouble knowing when the generator started and how long to hold the start button pressed. FYI...sometimes there is a delay when you press and sometimes you have to press the start button on the app more than one time. This has been my experience with an iPhone using it for all the motor functions.

I have done what you are wanting to do, but I would suggest pulling over at an exit and starting it up so you can listen to what is going on.
