Joy Rider Shock System

Hello,
Has anyone out there had the Joy Rider Shock system installed on your camper? I'm looking to improve the ride of my unit. In my opinion torsion axles are the best on the market and I don't know why the RV manufactures don't offer a axle upgrade. It'll cost me about $1800.00 an axle to change out and that's not in my budget.
Thanks and happy camping.
Chris

Someone on here added them. I remember seeing the post. Definitely wouldn't hurt to add them!

I am considering the same thing. I have purchased a Trailer saver Air Hitch, and the shocks are next on the list. I will keep up with the responses on this thread for sure.

Installed them on my last 5th wheel which was a Montana High Country. It came from the factory with the MorRyde 3000 suspension. I took it to the Morryde factory to have the IS suspension installed. The IS would have raised the trailer height so I opted to upgrade to the MorRyde 4000 instead. I then installed the Joy Ryder system myself. The combination improved the ride considerably.
My new Pinnacle has the 4000 suspension but no shocks. I plan on upgrading to the MorRyde IS system which includes shocks.

Eharris, did you pull the trailer with the Mor ryde 4000 before adding the shocks? If so, what difference did the shocks make after the upgrade to the 4000? My Jayco has the Mor Ryde 3000 factory installed. Considering the shocks to add, but am interested in knowing how much the 4000 is an upgrade over the 3000. Thanks

Towed it home about 150 miles then installed the shocks. Before upgrading from the factory 3000 the trailer would bounce 5 or 6 times after hitting a good bump or going over an overpass on the x-way. After the upgrade the bouncing was cut on half.

Just installed the kits from LCI on our Eagle 321RSTS. Wasn't a bad job but had to modify upper brackets on one side for little more clearance between shock and tire (hard to believe the axle on an rv wouldn't be exactly centered!). Hasn't been out of the barn yet, but if the cushions are still on the rear sofa after a day running southbound in Feb. then I'll know it is an improvement.
