I have the 4:10 in this truck and my last one. Dealer truck so no choice but I would not go this high with the HO diesel motor. I am not pulling over 30k but I also do not tow speeding. So look at the motor sweet spot at say 65 mph.

My 2019 SRW 3500 with the 3.73 rear end is over 1500 rpm at 70mph with 37" tires in 6th gear. I pull a Eagle HT 29.5BHOK 5th wheel and it has crazy power.

I think unless you are pulling super heavy, the 3.73s will be plenty. Just remember, the SRW truck with the Aisin is rated for 24k towing and it only comes with the 3.73. And, the dually trucks have shorter tires than the SRW trucks so that effectively gives you deeper gears.

Wow, dashing a quick note off on the phone can be a bit embarrassing.🤔 Spell check is not always your friend...

I had the same problem with bedrail clearance on my 2011 Ram 2500 Cummins. Of course I used to have a bad habit of trying to put the FW where I used to go with a slide-in truck camper, lol.

DW wanted a motorhome so earlier this year we traded the FW for a Greyhawk 29MV. Love the MH, hate the clearance. Will be putting a 4" lift on the MH next spring, but I see another Ram truck in my future.

My RAM 3500 (specs below) at 65 mph is turning 1,750 rpms. But I like the 4.10 rear end for pulling my Pinnacle.
