No, we're in NH, still a bit to early here. Just had 6 inches of snow last week ☺. Plus with the virus we are under a stay at home order. Hoping to get it out in May.

In May? Good luck with that!
You do realize that the summer is a total write off? Stay inside and let this virus run it's course. If not, you will just make this pandemic last that much longer.

Need to bring the rig to the dealer for some small warranty work. Waiting for them to let me know when it's OK to bring it (due to virus). That will be my first tow.

I looked at the Ford spec's for PAMMAC36's truck and the spec'ed payload is 3320-3470 depending on the trucks rated GVWR. So, a difference of 330 to 480 lbs between the spec payload and the yellow sticker.
On my 2019 F250 PSD crewcab long bed, the payload spec is 3130 or 3230 depending on the GVWR. However my yellow sticker says combined weight of occupants and cargo should not exceed 1704 lbs - a difference of at least 1426 lbs!
The only weight adding options from the factory are the Reese 18K fifth wheel hitch and the spray-in bed liner. Why the huge difference between the specs and the yellow sticker??

That sticker doesn't lie. The King Ranch adds a ton of bells an whistles, therefore lowering your payload.
Take your truck to the scale and take your GVWR (probably around 11,500lbs) and subtract that from your actual weight. Does your truck have the 9900lbs downgrade package on it?
My F150 has almost the same payload as your F250 diesel. This is why they often say, if you want a diesel, you should go to a 1 ton.

Looking good Pammac36!!!! Good to hear about the towing performance on that 7.3 I’m picking up a new 25.5 REOK Tuesday (525 miles one-way) and it sounds like it won’t be a problem at all towing it back home with my new 7.3 F350. Good luck with your new FW and safe travels!

Pammac36, I have to agree. We just completed a one week, 1200 mile round trip to Palo Duro Canyon State Park(TX) in our new 2020 Ford F-250 with 7.3 gasser. Pulled our 6500# 284BHS out of a 10% grade canyon like it was nothing. The Hill Descent Assist was nice also. I did have diesel envy looking at all the rigs around me, but not anymore. Very happy with the performance. Since it is the first year for both the engine and tranny, we purchased the Ford Protect 8yr/100k bumper-to-bumper warranty for a reasonable price just for peace of mind. We only put on 6-10k per year on our TV's so this will last us a long time. I hope you are as happy with your purchase as we are. Safe travels.

I currently have a 6.2 and no interest in a diesel truck When replacement time comes. Now the 7.3 gas has me thinking. Please keep us current on your experience with the truck.
Congratulations and good luck. 👍

Congrats. The 7.3 seems to be a beast. I have towed into and out of that canyon several times. Great camping place. I only wish they had not taken out the river crossings.

Palo Duro was a great place. It was our first time there. 98 degrees one day and 71 the next.

Also for anyone that is curious, the 2020 is about an inch shorter than the 2017-19's should make us nice and level while towing.
Now I can't wait to get out there* !

Congrats on you new truck. I now have the same truck and was wondering how much pulling you have done and if you can afford to pass up any gas stations.
I have a 34 gallon tank which will require me to stop every 2-3 hrs. Although this isn't a huge problem around my home, it could get a little nerve racking in some parts of the country.
I also wonder if you have the same "clunk" I have if I shift from Park to reverse before the engine idles down to 800 RPMs.
Thanks for any input.

How is the 7.3 on towing mileage? My 6.2 is not setting the world on fire but does well at keeping the gasoline economy supported when towing.

Slidell, LA to Austin, TX (525 miles) averaged 9.2 MPG. F350 4x4 CC 7.3L and 3.73 axle towing 25.5 REOK. Flat all the way. Yup 2-3 hours looking for gas but ready to take a break anyway.

This is rough reading about the truck/trailer combos. I have the the truck, F-250 with the 7.3; waiting on the trailer, 2021 Eagle HT 27RS. We probably have another 6-8 weeks before the rv arrives. I can't wait.
