Just ordered 30.5MBOK

We just ordered an Eagle HT 30.5MBOK, our first 5th wheel. The dealer said it will be a 2019 and, from what he’s heard, here are some of the 2019 changes:
  • Fridge brand change to Dometic
  • Fridge panel change from stainless to raised wood pannelling
  • Solid surface countertops now contain metal flake (yikes)
  • Sinks are now under mount even for regular countertop
  • Dexter axles
  • Bathroom cabinetry is whitewash

We were quoted 8-12 weeks. We have our fingers crossed that it’s 8 as we have a big trip coming up in 9!

My build date is scheduled for April 20th.
Curious as to where we’ll fall in the production change.

I would consider changing that travel date. Even if the rig is shipped on week 8 it will take more than a week to get to the dealer and be prepped, not counting fixing the defects you find on the walk through.

If you rush through the PDI you may regret it later on. Plenty of stories of folks taking delivery of units with issues and then not being able to get them fixed.

Yeah, it’s hopeful thinking. We have our existing TT to use if it doesn’t work out.

Picking up our 30.5MBOK this Friday. It arrived here in Florida last Thursday which was exactly 7 weeks from order and our Dealer said that was about a week or 2 faster than normal. Good luck & enjoy once you get it.....

We picked up our new 2017 30.5MBOK a couple weeks ago and took it out for our first long weekend this past weekend. Loved it! Honestly haven't found many things needing to be fixed. most are very minor and stuff i'm just going to take care of while it's parked at home. Love this floorplan with the L-Shaped Dinette, we put the table up and everyone had their own places to sit and we were all facing each other. the living room space in this one is one of the best floorplans available in our opinion (without spending a lot more money). I wouldn't recommend pulling with a 1/2 ton, but my 3/4 ton truck pulled this trailer like it wasn't even there, even going up 7% grades. (ok, it felt the 7% grade but i wasn't slowing down.)

Congrats on the new Trailer!

Just what I wanted to hear!! The living room in this model is the big thing that attracted us and having a bunk room that I can close the door and not see the grandkids stuff if we don't want to impressed us. Enjoy............

IMO, you are smart to have a back up plan on that next trip. There are many sad stories of owners being in a hurry to get a new rig without a proper PDI and shakedown cruise.

As an update for those of you wondering about order time...

We ordered a 30.5MBOK on 3/29 and the order was placed with Jayco on 3/30. We were just quoted the following from the dealer:

Unit will be a 2019
Build Date: 5/26
Ship Date: 5/29
We have a hot ship on your unit so what that means it will ship prior to stock units to the dealership.

I’m not so sure about the “hot ship” (sounds like dealer talk to me) but that should put delivery at about 9 weeks from the order date.

My 30.5 MBOK was complete on the 18th. Dealer called today and Jayco reported needing to replace a cabinet door. The part is there and they will replace Monday. I hope that means it will ship soon! Dealer says it’s still a 2018 with what I ordered.

When you ordered your trailer did they tell you what the interior colors would be? Seeing American Tradition Interior Decor and Modern Farmhouse Interior Decor on RVOne web site but cant really tell colors from that.

I ordered a 321RSTS Eagle on 3/22. Jayco rep told the dealer that it would be an 8 week lead time. I was told last week that it will be a 2019 delivered the first of June. Rep told the dealer that only 2 interior colors this year, modern and traditional. Modern will have all white cabinets. Dealer has no pictures or samples of new colors yet.

This is the first I’ve heard of the color change. It’s got me concerned. If I find anything I’ll update the thread.

Thanks for the link to the colors. They look fine. What concerned me was the white cabinetry. I guess we’ll just go American Tradition and hope for the best.

I just reviewed pictures from my dealer showing the 2 new color options for 2019.
The American Tradition has a little darker stain on the wood than 2018, dark brown chairs.
The Modern Farmhouse has all white wood trim and all cabinets are a distressed white!
If you have a 2018 unit on order that will be a 2019 model, I suggest you contact your dealer and request the option you want.
