We had the same issue and found out 3 of the 4 carriage bolts that go thru the floor that are bolted to the slide racks where loose or out completely. After putting those back in place it was much better. But spraying the seals with seal lube and waxing the outside walls made the largest improvement. We are lucky the slide didn't fall off the racks.

Our neighbor just purchased a 2015 28.5 HT. His living room slide sticks when retracting. He has found that if he retracts the living room slide before retracting the kitchen slide, it doesn't stick. But if he retracts the kitchen slide first, the living room slide won't retract. Very odd. We were looking at a 28.5 HT also but not too sure after reading some of the threads.

We have one.2015 28.5RSLT. No real problems yet. Before you decide not to buy, think about how many of these 5thers are out there and that only a very few folks take the time to write about how good they are. You only read about a very few, most of them are being enjoyed! Sure, because these things are mass produced, there will be a few leaving the factory maladjusted or worst, not completely assembled. Until we get the safety standards like cars have its going to happen. But would we want to pay for those standards? I worry more about finding a competent service dept and reputable dealer then I do about getting a piece of junk!

Thanks. Gave it some thought and pulled the trigger. Brought our new 2018 28.5 RSTS home today!
