Do a quick search - You will find numerous posts by folks having trouble with their Schwintek slides and lots of good advice on how they resolved the problems.

Yes, the majority of problems are on the larger slides.

My 5er is headed to the dealer for warranty on the kitchen slide next month. Front and rear exterior trim screw heads are breaking off, 10 currently, and rear of slide seems to be catching on something when extending. I'm seeing lots of flex when operating it. Jayco CS advised against a self repair with larger screws, stated the frame may need to be replaced, slide removal needed, etc. Curious to see how my dealer handles this one, not impressed with their other warranty repair attempts on other things.

define troubles. Not going in? Not going out? One side working and the other not?

We have an Eagle 317RLOK, and took it out last weekend for our first trip of the season. The kitchen slide was slow to work. Had to start and stop it a couple of times before it actually closed when we broke camp, and again when we got home to clean out the fridge ect. Dinning room and bedroom slides worked fine. Thinking maybe just need to apply some silicone to the rails perhaps?

Were you on battery or shore power? The big slides always seem to do better when connected to shore power.

Could also be a syncing issue. The Schwintek is a great slide system, but struggles with the larger slides (that it was never designed for). Had the same setup on my 325BHQS. Lots of in and out to get the slide fully closed or opened. Retiming would always help for awhile, but the motors always ended up out of sync eventually (and I'm religious about holding the switch until the motors fully stop)

Google retime or resync schwintek slide and see if that helps.

If you're putting anything on the slide rails, make sure it's a dry lube (I use CRC Dry PTFE Lube). Silicone spray will collect dirt and dust, eventually compromising the system.

our 2015 36KPTS large kitchen slide has failed twice and our fifth wheel has been been in the shop both times under the extended warrantee. the steel gears are wearing out the aluminum tracks when fully retracted and travelling down the road. that slide out is just too heavy and the vibration is causing wear on the aluminum tracks to the point the gears skip and grind. the next one is on me.

Does your slide have 2 or 3 tracks mounted on the outside wall of the slide?
Some of the larger slides have required an additional track to carry the weight of larger slides and some have replaced their slide mechanisms with the new vroom slide system
Your should also have rollers mounted under the slide to carry the weight especially when the slide is in. They may need adjusting. Also check for leaks around the floor. Rotten plywood can cause all kinds of slide problems.

Make sure you are researching the correct system.
Is it Schwintec or Slim Rack.
My 2018 NP has Slim Rack on the Kitchen slide and Schwintec on the bunk room and bedroom.

we have a ht eagle 30.5 mlok, and we are lucky that there is only two slide out on the same side , that mean that heavy appliance and cabinet in kitchen ,living room are sit on the frame of the trailer. the large slide out that contain the kitchen table and lazy boy is move by underneath rail system,and only the small slide out of bedroom warobe is operate with the schwintec system,so we didn't have issue with that slide so far.

Moves in and out ok but the forward side tips in when fully retracted. Now have a tate in the flooring

My kitchen slide was slow, then it wouldn't work without using the override on the controller, then it was fine. Took it to service center , I spent over and hour on the phone with the factory. Finally replaced both motors and switched the control box and switch and still sporadic. The factory set the wall on the frame and put the wire in between. It depended on how I parked and how much squeeze was on the wire. Check the wire!

I have a 2020 Jayco Prestiege with a very large kitchen side slide, it is extremely slow to extend out. It is currently in the shop now and have been working with the tech on a possible motor change out. Tested voltage at motor 13.6 when it starts and drops to 6.6 as it gets under load. Does anyone know how the motor is supposed to work. Is the voltage drop by design??
