Kitchen vent to outside?

Anyone had a problem with the vent going to the outside from the stove hood leaking? We notice this happening awhile back. I recaulked around the vent outside and thought I had the problem solved. Went out a few days ago and it had leaked again in all the rain we have had here in North Florida. It soaked into the countertop and caused some damage. I contacted the Jayco Dealer nearest me (Dothan, AL) and was told it was a design flaw in the outside vent, not a leak. I'm taking it up there the 4th of January to be replaced and let them photograph the counter top and file with Jayco for replacement of the countertop. It's still under warrenty, so hopefully will not be a problem. The folks in Dothan were very helpful and willing, even though we did not buy the RV there.

Jim we had been looking at Designers for six months we saw two that had the leak under the Micro. The units were a 2008 and a 2009 they were at two different dealers. I guess I better keep my eyes open for ours too. We thats if we ever get it back for service. Our unit has been at the dealer since before Thanksgiving. I miss not seeing the large lawn ornament. Looking at getting back this week I hope got to love BO parts.
Good Luck

I have a 2009 35RLTS. Mine has leaked once after a heavy rain with the wind blowing, this will happen once in a while if the conditions are right in any trailer.
