L-shaped sofa removal

Can anyone help us with the removal of our sofa? We can’t seem to find what is holding the L part to the “wall” next to the refrigerator.

Jmhillman,

Welcome to JOF

Could you provide the year/model of your Jayco FW?

Bob

L-shaped sofa removal

I have a pull out L shaped sectional in my rig (Jay Flight 38FDDS) I’d be curious to know this as well for future reference.

I have one and wondered also. I will look later today but I remember several bolts attaching it to the other parts of the sofa. It's not bolted to the floor because mine floats so the carpet can go under it when closed.

Pics later.

If it's the same as the L-sofa in mine then the extension portion is screwed to the wall with a few Robertson #8 screws (empty the storage and look way back in) and also to the base of the bed section with the same. Mine broke all the screws first year so I replaced them all with #12's.

L shaped sofa pics

The only place we can find where it feels attached is the front of where the L connects to the sofa in the floor. How can we remove this without tearing into the bottom of our trailer?

We do seem to have some kind of attachment to the slide at the point the L attaches to the sofa. Also, for some reason my pics keep appearing upside down

Looks like yours is a bit different. Mine is made from OSB and the storage box goes back to the wall which is where some of the screws were.

Hooray!we were making it much harder than it was. PlayersZ28, you were correct, three screws against the “wall” next to the refrigerator and two securing it to the long side. We pulled it out, a bit heavy is all. Thanks to all.

So why did you remove it? Putting something else in it's place? I find the couch comfortable myself

Are you removing the carpet from the slides as well? I have the factory vinyl in the center but carpet on the slides and up to the bedroom. Would like to ditch it all as it looks like crap already.

We are removing all carpet in the living room. My husband wanted to wait and see how that looked before we remove the stairs and hallway but we will leave the bedroom.
