Large Slide Out

I have a 2017 Northpoint and we have lived in it full time for the last 3 years. When I was still hooked up to power, I was able to get all the slide outs in to move the 5th wheel to a new location. I am trying to get the slide outs out and the large one that has the fireplace, pantry, stove and refer won't go out. It started to and then stopped. Now when I try to activate that slide out it makes a noise like a weak car horn each time I press the bottom on the remote.

I have a lot of food in the freezer I can't get access to so if anyone can help me with this...I would appreciate it.

If you are not on shore power, check your battery! Will it move back in?

The batteries seem to be good as all the other slide outs operate okay. The large slide out has a lot of weight on it and I am just wondering if I need shore power to move it or does it even matter.

It is almost all the way in now as we are not able to open the refrigerator and have no power for the refer either

If your fridge is not running and it is a residential, your batteries are dead or dying. As was mentioned that's also probably the reason your slide quit. You need to get on shore power quickly.

Probably too much load on the battery…plug it into shore power.

I don't currently have shore power. I can borrow a generator, it is a Predator 4500. Would that work?

Yes, should work, no problem. What batteries do you have and how many? Have you measured the voltage at the battery when plugged in? Should be between 13.5 & 14 volts.

If these are original lead acid batteries then most likely they are no longer able to hold a load.

BTW, what a great diet plan! Load the fridge and don’t allow access to it. Nice!

I have used jumper cables from my truck when my trailer house batteries were too low to move the slides as an emergency fix.
