Leak - some where

We have a 2016 Pinnacle 36FBTS. Last December it was in the dealer for warranty work & when we picked it up in early February, we noticed water in the pass through. 1st there was absolutely no work to be done in the pass through - it was 97% emptied in case. Both doors were unlocked! When we lifted the door on door side we noticed water & the carpets were soaked. When we lifted the door on driver's side there was sitting water on top of a tote that was stacked 2 high. We could see a "path" of how the water ran from the driver's side back. The shop manager said they would order a seal for the door side as it was not meeting in the upper right corner; later we received a message that we would need to schedule the trailer, they would have to figure out what part(s) needed to be ordered, they would order the parts, install and then water test the unit - which meant we would not have the unit back until maybe September (tongue in cheek).

Where we store the unit was able to order the seal & installed it. After the heavy rains we recently had, we checked the door side & there is moisture BUT not on the floor. The panel where the outside TV would be mounted was wet - top to bottom. Reached in & on the upper inside of the door frame there was standing water. The caulking on the outside looks fine.

Last year noticed some water in the bedroom window frame by the dresser but dealer was not able to reproduce (we left the paper towel in there so they could see it had been leaking).

Because of the rains have not been able to check the roof but the dealer stated they checked it in December & it was fine. Where we store the unit checked it last year as well.

Any suggestions of where else to look? And yes, it is now out of warranty (mid-April).

Thanks in advance

Not sure if you had any sideways rain??

When we get really heavy rain a lot of the time is is very angled the way it rains.

We have a 2016 as well and drivers side storage compartment weatherstripping has a messed up spot at top left, causing it to leak from very heavy rain.

I had a leak on the rear pass thru on a Class C when the PS compartment door was NOT locked but only latched. Started keeping the door locked at all times, no more leaks.

The doors were locked with this heavy rain.

go out after dark with helper and two strong flashlights. Have your helper run the flashlight around the edge of EVERY! possible opening, windows, doors, pass- throughs. Then you do it from the inside (or vice versa).

Bet you will "see the light" somewhere. Even the tiniest glow indicates a place where water will come through, Not Could, but will come through. Get out the Quad Seal or redo the factory seal, or best, do both.

Good luck!

Update...it isn't the window or the pass through cargo door. We had heavy rains on 2 separate occasions this past weekend & had left the awnings out. After the 1st rain, it was dry. But after the 2nd rain it was wet. It appears there may be an issue on the roof. More to come.
