Mine came with the AC power block and I planned to cut the end off it to use to feed the controller. I ended up opening the controller and tieing in directly to where the connector was. If yours didn't come with the adapter then easiest is to just find and old wall wart with an end that fits the controller and use the wire and end feed. It'll need a fairly heavy duty wire on it if you have to run any distance to get to your OE porch light.

I use the colored and fade it down if we want some light so as not to trip but still want some night vision.
