A lot of the members have made the transition from regular bulbs to LED's. Be careful as a lot of the BULK LED's you see on Ebay and Amazon are not what they actually are as far as QUALITY, Lumens (Brightness) and Kelvin temperature scale (yellowish to bright blue color). Here are a few posts that cover some of these areas. My original purchases were bulk from China, those did not last long, but they were CHEAP, in more ways than one.

Good Luck,

Don

I installed 3 different LED lights in my TT depending on location and the type of light desired:

Warm White LED (5 smd) - These are used in low light areas where I don't want to be overpowered (above dining table & couch)

White 800 Lumens (68 smd) - these are brighter so I use in areas like the kitchen & bathroom where I want more light

Red LED Light Bulb - I put a red LED bulb right where you enter the trailer so at night you are not blinded when you turn on the light. They also can be used at night so you can see out your windows at night. OI also use it when I wakeup early to fix coffee and its still dark out.

Do all Jaycos use those models above ? I have a 2015 Eagle HT and would like to switch to some of the 5 smd ones as I find the stock bulbs WAY to bright

I had switched my old trailer to LED's and the new trailer came with them. I'm not a big fan. Energy savings and lack of needed maintenance is great, but the light tends to be rather harsh.

A dimmer or filter for the lens is needed to make the light more humane.

My guess is they will fit. Pull one of your stock bulbs to see it it's the wedge type like the 5-smd bulb, this is also a warm light , not unlike the incandescent bulb. I'm very pleased with them and for $7 for 20 bulbs you can't go wrong

You should check out the 5-smd warm light bulb

I used to turn on 1 or 2 lights and would hear the converter cooling fan come on. Now with all LEDs I can turn on almost every light and it don't come on. yay !!

I ordered 3of the 5 styles of bulbs we have. The 2 not ordered we seldom turn on, the 3vanity lights & the 3 spots at the rear of the living area.
For the kitchen under cabinet light I found a led strip kit at WallyWorld that I will use to replace the flouresents.
