Left Landing Gear Frozen - Stuck in Pine Level NC

Our left Landing Gear (Ground Control 3.0 leveling system) is frozen.
It will move down but not up.

We are boon docking at a winery. We are supposed to leave today.

Can't seem to find a mobile tech here on Sunday.

Anyone have any ideas of how I could get the 5th on the truck or know of a Mobile Tech in the area that will work on Sunday?

Supposed to be a place on the top and bottom of the motor to be able to put a wrench on and be able to raise the leg.

Not familiar with your leveling system but:
1) an override?
2) manual retract with a crank?

Good luck!

It will be either 3/8 inch drive ratchet and extension for the top no socket required For bottom you will need a 5/16 inch socket on travel trailer or 5th wheel Trailer They put the override on top and bottom so you can always access it. It will take quite a bit of racheting to get it done.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

Yes, I did try the manual override using the wrench. However, the problem jack will not move at all.

The jack on the other side goes up and down when I apply the manual override as you think it should.

Will ask the winery for another day of grace and maybe another bottle of wine.

May not be able to get a tech until tomorrow.

lol, don't think the winery is too happy having us a second night.

We just started full timing in our Pinnacle end of May. Not sure what getting a repair like this will look like. We may end up having to stay at a hotel.

Well, I tried it again. I did get it to move about 1/2 inch upward with about 30 minutes of effort and lots of seat.

Need a pipe or something to get more leverage. It is almost impossible to move.

Stay tuned....

Do you have a couple of jacks and blocking you could put under the frame?
Jack up slowly on the jacks take the weight off the jammed up jack. You will need the jack someday for a trailer tire replacement. Just a thought. I carry blocking and a small hydraulic jack with us always

You’re going to need a replacement leg. I had the same problem with mine. I needed a big cheater bar to manually override it. Too much force needed to more the worm gear which was why the motor kept struggling and ultimately gave error codes.

You can use the jack from your truck with some blocking to get you hitched up again.

Edit: my worm gear eventually failed while I was trying to set up. Very scary. Thought the trailer was going to fall over. After replacing the bad leg, system works smooth and perfect every time.

Awesome, thanks RoadrunnerII. I did have one jack. I used it to lift the trailer on the problem jack side. I moved it a little and then move the jack up using the the control panel until it was high enough to put on the trailer. Yea

Left the vineyard at 3:30 pm est, drove 250 miles and setup on a very level site without any issues!!!!

Will be calling dealer tomorrow.

Thanks Magnolia Tom. I got the rig loaded by using a bottle jack I carry. Will be calling the dealer tomorrow. Good to hear that after replacing the leg, the system is continuing to work well.

Jack no going up

I always have my battery operated impact wrench/drive for issues like this. Works great on the rear levelers.
