Length question
How does Jayco measure or spec their fifth wheels?
The Eagle HT 24.5ckts says 29.5'. Is this accurate for total length from ladder to pin?
Thanks

No no relation. Check specs or measure it yourself to be sure.

The only way, so many manufacturers have different ways of measuring that I don't think the is an industry standard.

So if you own Jayco's are the printed specs close and what does Jayco measure?
I know that the model number doesn't mean anything.

I measured our unit and the overall length is what Jayco listed on their website.

You are correct, the model number is the interior floorplan dimension, always shorter than total length. The specs on the website are accurate (my Pinnacle is spot on).
Go to Jayco, Fifth Wheel, Floorplan, specifications

Thank You.
What can you tell me about height? Does the height given only include the living room a/c and not the front unit? If so is Jayco running the lower profile front units or the full size and do you know how much height that adds?
Thanks again

The height on the website is also fairly accurate, and lists the highest fixed point on RV (not antennas buy typically AC units). The problem and caution with Max height measurements is how level the RV is compared to the ground it is sitting on. For example, low bridges are measured at the lowest point of the bridge to the high point of the road but if your pulling a 40'er that could be higher based on the ground 30'+ before or after the bridge. Additionally, towing nose high, loaded tanks and even tire pressure can change the actual height. I would still say trust the Jayco website but don't trust the environment down to the exact inch. YouTube low bridge and you will see many lessons learned. My goal is not to wind up on YouTube... LOL!

Thanks. Other brands that I have owned spec only the main a/c being on the roof and then I end up being 8" above that. My Columbus was 13'5". My current Grand Design is about 12'8". The Jayco 24.5ckts says 12' which I assumed meant only the main a/c as both the Grand Design Reflection and this Jayco are midprofile units.

Jayco lists it as Travel Length for pin to rear most point. They list Length as the overall. Both matched since I measured before buying it. I didn't want an RV that I couldn't tow without getting tickets since Ontario has a 41' limit for trailers unless commercial.

You confused me on this one. Isn't the pin the farthest forward point or does the cap protrude farther than the pin on a Jayco?

It depends on the trailer if the pin box is furthest forward or not. On mine the cap is a couple feed further than the pin. But length is overall unless it's listed as Travel Length.
