Let's talk decor *Rugs*Dishes*Throws*pillows etc.

Honestly I want to talk about decor! Anyone want to share sites for RV shopping? What you have used and where you bought it??

Wife just looks - Wal-Mart, Kohl's, Sam's, CW. Oh, she did make her own quilt throws for the furniture since we have 3 felines that travel with us. She also plans on making a quilt for our bed - she hasn't decided what to do with the pillow shams since they will not match the new quilt.

My wife would love to share ideas. How do you decorate and what kinds of things do you display?

PS we get a lot of stuff just from regular stores. About the only RV specific stuff we got was a set of nesting cookware from Camping World. Expensive but they really work well.

There are a lot of great ideas out there, go to the regular hobby shops like Michaels, Hobby lobby etc. We bought a few small fake potted plants, put Velcro on the bottom and placed them in a couple places in the RV (Velco is magic!). It really brightens it up and you don't have to pack them away when moving the RV.

We also hang things up and use plastic frames that wont break if they fall. Key thing is to get light things that don't weigh a lot.. and that typically means cheap which is fine. So you can find great things at Walmart that work perfect for the RV.

Think cheap, think light, if they get dirty or broken it wont matter!

We have picked it up along the way in various stores. Wood signs, plaques, rugs and a few other things. If you have a piece in mind and just keep an eye out it eventually comes along. I have found that if you go out looking for a specific piece and size it's harder.

It took a few months, but we found it all. Just this season (4th) we added more signs that just fit out lifestyle and decor.

I retired pots, cups and silverware to the camper when we first bought one and that goes from one to the next.

Eventually things pop up and agree stay light.

Command strips are all over the unit as well, so an easy removal with no marks.

I bought my sheets and mattress topper here because I do not like microfiber (that seems to be all most places offer):

Sheet sets for RV mattresses. Specially sized to fit travel trailer mattresses.

I purchased a wall decal from Camping World. Pillows from Aldi. Wall decor from a couple of craft shows and craft stores (I use command hooks to hang them).
Our RV came with the decor package so a comforter was included but I purchased a cheap quilt from KMart to use in the summertime when the quilt is too heavy.
Pots and pans and dishes and rugs came from Walmart.
