The slider hitch should be in it's normal position at road speeds. In the back position only when driving at slow speeds

As long as it tows fine don’t give too much thought to it. I’m big on everything looking level. Just something I like.

That's the main reason I went with the Pullrite auto slider....no getting in and out to make the hitch work! I was not sure if I made the right choice but first trip out getting on to my seasonal site I needed it.
