It is big. I ordered my set from Dyer's RV on Tuesday and they were delivered on Thursday. They had the best price I could find.

Free shipping and no tax. My last order from them was about 10 years ago so I had kind of forgotten about them. I put them back in my favorites.

It's hard to find anything with weight ratings but Camco does have some gray or maybe brown blocks that they say is rated for heavy use. I'm also thinking about some sort of pad to put under them. Any suggestions?

I did a search and found several older posts about the SnapPads. I thought maybe someone might be able to say how they have held up. I'm not sure of the value of them or if I did get a set would I even need the leveling blocks. I have the Equalizer leveling system and set of 6 is $325. Seems kind of expensive for what you get but maybe they are beneficial enough to warrant the cost.
I added a set of 6 Snappads to my Pinnacle. Adds only about an inch to the bottom of the metal foot so if you are setting up in a very uneven site, you may still need a set of leveling blocks. I like the larger footprint and that the metal feet on my jacks will never rust or sit in water at an uneven site. Trick to install them is to coat the mounting rim with dish soap and to line them up perfectly with the jack foot before you extend the jack to “snap” them on the metal foot.

Ditto on the snappads and Camco blocks. I really like the the pads they add stability and cushion the coaches stance. Well worth the price. I have mine for 4 years and they are still perfect.

Can someone explain to me the purpose in SnapPads?? I can't understand why people use them. They don't add much height or provide a significantly bigger base.

Please enlighten me.

Thanks

The biggest advantage I have experienced is that the larger footprint negates the need to use extra blocks or boards beneath the jack feet. This is especially convenient when the campsite is muddy or soft sand. Adds stability to the RV and helps prevent metal feet from damage in hard uneven surfaces. Just hose them off if they are muddy. Water drains out the bottom through small holes.

But they only provide a slightly larger footprint, right? Like maybe an inch larger.

If my site is muddy or sandy, I have large (14x14) jack pads that I use to provide a large surface for the jacks to set on.

I've had mine for 4 full camping seasons. I camp a lot and they still look brand new. Some asked why, for me they protect the thin pad on the jack from bending, they grip well on surfaces, add about 2" total on the dia, if the site is pretty level nothing to do before autolevel, I bought direct from snap pad when they first hit the market. I like mine and if I trade trailers I'll get another set. Happy Camping and God Bless.
