Light over counter

We have a 341RLQS with a 110 fan and light above the L shape counter- Our problem is inadequate light from the existing 60 watt bulb- What improvement have others done in this area? My DW doesn't like to turn on the 12 volt overhead lights for some reason known only to her [ we won't go there for obvious reasons]- Is there an led bulb others use? All responses appreciated and will certainly be considered- THANX in advance- DD

Donnie - do you have overhead counters above the area you want to light? If so, take a look at LED Strip lights (on Amazon). They are 12 volt and work very well for flexible lighting scenarios.

The fan and light above the counter are on the ceiling- There are no overhead cabinets here- A brighter light seems to be our only option- THANX for the reply- I hope this clarification will help - DD

It's proably the same fan that I have in my unit. I have not had mine open yet and do not use it that much. If there is sticker on the inside with a watt rating go up to the highest one you can in a incandesent or a CFL 100W would probaly do the trick.

Last option is a LED screw in type from HD or Lowes which if not to your liking you could return it.

Got an Ottlite Ultimate bulb at Lowes- WOW!!!! The fly in the ointment is the globe is too short for the bulb- So back to Lowes to get a larger globe that will "blend" in- [DW requirement]- Will post results later- THANX for the tip!-DD
