Jack did ur spindle nut seize up. I always just use a crescent wrench since there is no tq, just snug for cotter pin. Or are u trying to pull hub and wheel same time?

We always just snug it up , spin the wheel a few revolutions then back it off just enough to get the cotter key in first hole. No torqueing.

Hey Rock
Was getting ready to repack wheel bearings......looks to be about 1 1/2” socket. I ended up just using an adjustable crescent wrench.

Did rear axle.......have to do front one now.

Norty they say to spin hub and tighten to at least 50ft. pounds. Then loosen and then retighten by hand. If couterpin won’t go in loosen until it will.

Hope Lippert & Dexter know what they are talking about.

Only necessary if replacing with new bearings, to be sure they are seated all the way in

And repacked bearings to squeeze out excess grease so hub will not be to loose.
