lippert rear electric equalizing jacks
Hi everyone, I've been on the forum to see if anyone would know how to wire my electric jacks and they also function with a remote, you can look at my other forum I have included pictures and a diagram. I'm sure someone out there have a jayco eagle ht fifth wheel, would someone please be so kind and send picture so I can re-wire these jacks, I have exhausted every avenue called jayo they could not provide drawing and was advised by jayco to contact lippert components but have yet to receive an answer.

It's a Lippert stabilizer jack. You can get the manuals and wiring diagrams on their website.

lippert rear electric equalizing jacks
Thanks Earl, have received answer from Lippert, they advised that the only drawing they have is a standard switch drawing with 12 volt feed, no wiring from remote . They advise to contact Jayco. I called Jayco again and sent a hand sketch and they will see if they can help, fingers cross.

Thanks JayFeather24BH, my jack don't run on a solenoid, strictly 12 volt, I think the only way to solve is to find a trailer like mine and take a picture, hopefully someone has this type of trailer fingers cross

Would have never notice if you hadn't said. LOL
Ok your going to need a meter to test for 12vdc and also ohms.
So we know for sure the white wire to the frame is ground.
If you have a battery disconnect switch make sure that's on.
Test the other 4 wire and see what wire has 12v all the time. Hook one of the meter leads to the white to the frame and the other lead touch the other 4 wires to find the 12v (hot) wire. My guess would be one of the 10g wires but check all 4.. Now using your remote push and hold the down button and check to find what wire of the other 3 has 12v only with the button held down. Let me know what you find and we continue from there.

Thanks JaycoMLOK, will try that but it will have to wait till this afternoon eastern time, one thing I did notice a week or so ago that the two small wires had 12 volt power on with multimeter the crazy thing is the power will not light up a test light or if connected to motor directly and one to ground the motor does not work, thanks again will try you're suggestion this afternoon

JaycoMLOK one more thing if I take a separate power source and attach to motor power jacks work perfect reverse wires and motor turn other direction, what I'm trying to is that the equalizing jacks work fine with separate power just have to figure out the wiring that rotted off, will try you're suggestion this afternoon. Thanks again

Hi JaycoMlok, tested wires the 2 - small gauge wires have 12.8 volts dc, the funny thing is it won't light a test light or connected directly to motor it will not operate, just to make sure that I had power tested also with an ammeter on dc scale. Also tested the 10- gauge wire no readings on multimeter. Then I checked for continuity and all 4 - wire and were all ok. Checked with remote can't get power on any wire.

Yes the jacks were working, purchased the trailer new in 2014, I believe the only way I can fix this problem, if someone out in the community would take a picture of the wiring of their trailer I would be able to fix the wiring. Once again my trailer is a 2014 Jayco eagle 27.5 ht fifth wheel

If you use your remote inside the RV are you hearing any relays clicking when pushing the rear jack button? There's relays somewhere that the remote is controlling. Have you check for bad fuse or breaker?

All fuses and breakers are ok, what I did today was to look at the front electric landing legs the wiring is similar will investigate a little further. Landing gear legs work on the switch and remote and both function.

lippert rear electric equalizing jacks
Located a trailer like mine, owner was very nice and let me take notes and pictures of the wires. So this is how it should be connected. Wires from switch : the black wire from switch goes to ground, red wire from switch is capped off not being used, yellow wire from switch goes to the small 14 gauge white/black stripe and blue wire from switch goes to white 14 gauge wire, now the black 10 gauge wire goes to the 30 amp automatic reset breaker, through breaker and to red wire of motor jack, the 10 gauge white wire goes to the other wire of the motor and voila !!!! you're equalizing jack should now work manually and with the Jayco remote. I must say thanks to all who tried to help me if it wasn't for this forum I might have given up and wired the switch manually.

Glad to hear you got it working. So the manual switch is just grounding one of the small wires depending if you want to extend or retract the jack. Thought that might be the way it worked. That's the reason I was asking where power was using the remote. Strange that you couldn't get a 12v reading on the 10 gauge wires by using your remote. The manual switch the way it's wired would have no effect on the remote working or not.
