Long haul

Leaving Tuesday, towing our 377 from Spearfish, SD to S. Padre, TX. Going to be the longest trip to date(probably the longest we will take). We are super excited to get her out of our "comfort zone"! Taking 3 days to get there(weather/wind permitting). Wish us luck!

Be sure to pack your sandals, shorts and Hawaiian shirts.
We've been getting some rain (sometimes heavy) in S Texas so some kind of hat would be in order.
Safe Travels!

Used to it. I drive a tugboat for 12 hours a day. I've made it with our old 5er in 2.

Hope you ended up coming in behind the weather. Otherwise, that's some nasty towing! Oh well, at least the weekend's supposed to be nice! Hope you made it okay!

I agree with you, but unfortunately, some of us only get so much vacation time and it has to be about the destination sometimes.

Living in NY, it's at least a week's drive to get out towards the west where we really want to spend the bulk of our time either boondocking or traveling. I've often thought about storing my truck and trailer out west and flying out to save time!

Yes. Unfortunately, I/we are not retired. We have a limited time before I have to be back on the tugboat offshore. I wish we could take a little more time, but not really an option. Hit the road and drop the hammer! Well... as much as it can be dropped at 62mph.

Sounds like a trip the Wife & I are planning this July. Meeting my daughter & son-in-law at Cape Fair, MO. We'll be pulling the 5'er from Cape Cod Mass. Can't wait, 11 nights camping with them. They both are in the Military so we don't get to see them enough. They also have a camper. We meet them at Brookville Lake, IN back in 2014 for a 12 night camping trip. Best time Ever!

Hey Mr. Dave, I see that you have the B&W Turnover Ball and the Anderson Ultimate hitch how do you like that setup, I went just today looking at the same setup and was wondering for some feedback?
