Looking at Sailun Tires..Worry about Rims

We are looking to replace our 16" Maxxis tires that came with our 2016 29.5 BHDS sometime later this year (or maybe early next year.) And, we've been hearing more about the Sailun tires as possible replacement, but weren't sure if the upgraded 16-inch Aluminum rims (from Jayco) can handle the 110 psi needed by these tires.

We would appreciate knowing the max PSI these rims can take. Thanks!

When I upgraded to the Sailun tires, I also had to get new rims. Contacted Tredit (based on the build sheet for our Pinnacle, they were the supplier for our wheels and tires) to check on the wheel specs (style T03) and was told that was the ONLY wheel they supply that wasn't rated for 110 psig.

Tredit was the cheapest I could find for the tires, new rims, mounting and balancing.

The Sailun G rated tires (4400) on a 10k 5er would be way overkill. I would look at Bridgestone Duravis R250, and Michelin Ribs E rated.

I agree, it would be overkill but go for it if you want them. I have G rated tires
on T2 rims rated for 110psi. I run mine at 100psi. My rig is around 12,500 loaded.

I'm glad I have the T02 rims as well and I have G614's on mine. I sure travel more relaxed now than I did on the 1 trip I took before I replaced the original tires. Expensive - Yes, but well worth it in peace of mind.

Heard a ton of people say, "Look on the back of the rim, it'll have the max psi".

Mine however, did not. Call Tredit.

Mine didn't either, but when the old tire was removed it was stamped on the inside of the rim??

Did you have a problem putting metal valve stems on your wheels?
Mine look awful tight to try to get nuts on them......

I bought a dozen at Advance Auto parts, $5.00 for a 2 pack. Get the short ones. They fit right in and you will have plenty of spares.

I went on their website Tredit Tire Home and visually matched my rims as T03's. Once found it will tell you the load capacity and you can translate that into max psi. Ex: max load 2830= load range "E" max psi=80. That's how I determined my rims could handle going from a "D" rated tire to an "E".

Find an old socket and grind it down. That's what I did and it works beautifully. Make sure it's a 1/4" drive deepwell socket though. I love my S637's. Removed chucking when towing and fuel mileage increases. Camper towed very smoothly. Great tires, especially for the price

G614's here on T02 rims. Overkill? I don't care. I just feel better with a bit more wiggle room on weight.
