Lukewarm water

We are new to the RV world and still learning our way around our first RV, North Point 377. The walk through is a distant memory. We have it set up now after it was de-winterized. We only used it one day last fall due to a late purchase.

Our issue is the lack of hot water. We finally got the white foamy water out of the lines but our hot water is only lukewarm, not hot. I've read some forums which mention a by-pass valve but I don't see where it's located. Any ideas? We had hot water last year for the one day we used it.

Furthermore, are there any other manuals besides the owners manual? That manual is not as detailed as I like. It doesn't even show where the water cartridge is, though I suspect it's behind the water utility panel.

Are the valves on the indoor or outdoor shower open? with the portable wash wand shut off closed?

It does sound like your bypass vales may be set to mix hot and cold. Not sure where they are on your trailer but I'd start by looking in the area of your water heater.

I don't have your model but my water panel has the bypass valves on it (3). There is a "decoder ring" set of instructions pasted on the panel that shows the various settings. My water filter is behind the water panel and is accessed by removing an access panel in the basement.

I'd say this is almost for certain to be the problem. Easy fix just finding the right open/close setup. You probably have three valves to turn right near the water heater itself. Mine is in a panel at the base of the pantry. The water heater is under there and the valves are as well. I'm sure this varies by model but you should be able to find these where your water heater access is located... likely inside the trailer.

I'll try looking for the valves when we return to the RV this weekend. The problem should be easily rectified, meaning there should be a readily available manual covering every aspect of your RV.
