Macerating Toilet

I am shopping for my first RV. I am very seriously looking at a North Point or Pinnacle. One of the items I have considered as my first mod is to remove the toilet and install a macerating toilet.
Has anyone done this mod?

What kind of success did you have?

What were your reasons for replacing the standard toilet.

My main reason for considering using a macerating toilet was that the black tank would be filled with a "Slurry" rather than solids and thus easier to flush and maintain.

Ideas and thoughts?

Just buy a macerator pump for the "end" result.

I think the RV macerating toilet is more of a play on words, it just uses a so called jet stream of water to break stuff down and does a so so job at best. My boat it has a vaccu-flush system which is like an airliner, uses vacuum in the drain line to suck the toilet bowl dry and has an electric inline macerator grinder pump that dumps into the holding tank, This is a true macerator system, I would not waste my money on the RV system for what it does.

I've seen several types and some require electrical connections (which is a drawback for me) but it is very interesting. I have not seen any that would discharge through the standard base rv toilet pipe. Most seem to discharge though a 1-1/2" connection so would require additional plumbing of some sort. I like the idea though.

Thank you , these are all good points. The concept of the Macerator on the outlet is one that I considered. I watched this video and decided that it may not be all it is "crapped" up to be.
So I began to think that if I were to put a "true" Macerating toilet in the place of the standard toilet the tank would have a slurry in it and be much easier to dump.

So from the information presented here it appears that there are some serious flaws in my thinking. I am a rookie, looking to get into a fith wheel soon.

Any futher ideas or comments would be welcomed.

Actually, I've been using a Sewer Solution since 2011 and like it a lot. I find it to be a neater way of dumping. However, I do use a "stinky slinky" when dumping at a dump station cuz its a bit faster.
