Well my story ends with me and the Jayco service manager, on a Sunday, pulling my trailer with his truck and my truck.
The trailer wire kept falling out of his bumper connection on sharp turns because the cord is too short. So he bent the pins tighter.
Guess what... I have brakes and I pull at 7.5 with my truck now.
What a newb mistake this ordeal was.
Still doesn't explain the trouble with my SOB, but oh well.
If you think your brakes are weak, start with the tabs in the plug end.
Thanks for all the replies!

Ps.. I found out a 2012 6.7 Ford with 3.42's can out pull a 2004 Chevy dually with 4.10's with ease.

Glad it's fixed...do you have the ford or the Chevy? I'm guessing if you have the Chevy, a new 6.7 ford may be in your future

Klassic glad you got it figured out. I hadn't had any problems with the braking on my new to me truck and it had me wondering.

Haha.. I have the Ford.
I pulled my trailer with his dually and couldn't beleive how long it takes to get up to speed, I had to mash the pedal.
I didn't say anything, then he pulled with my super duty and said holy cow this thing has power!
It was easy to tell the difference. With the Chevy you could feel you were pulling weight, the Ford felt like it was pulling very little weight.
Maybe if we were pulling a tractor pull sled the results might be different.

Rock
I think there is a flange along the entire wall on the outside under the gasket.

Jayco told the dealer the slide would need to be pulled to replace the brackets. They assumed they were the Schwintec gear support bracket. I send Jayco a pic and they called the dealer and me back. Those brackets are extra supports Jayco installs to stiffen the Schwintec frame rail. They just told the dealer to add a few more screws and that took care of that.
I am pissed right now because three things on my list were not done after almost three months and was also told the front cap was repainted after the damage they did. That was BS it was blended and it has orange peel. I left it there and filed an insurance claim. Should here Monday from the adjuster.

Good to here ur brakes are finally fixed. After all that u went thru on something not caused by u. Everytime I think about my FW I get more pissed. Three months tomorrow and now how long for the second cap repair.

I wish I had an idea to help speed up your repairs Rock.
But if you get a new cap, boy... That will be a long wait!
I hope if that's the route you take it can be scheduled around your terms and it's ready to happen when you pull your rig into the dealers lot.

I am letting my insurance company handle that. Hopefully nothing a good little repair and paint job will not fix. If the cap has to be replaced because of fiber damage it will be after my summer two month vacation. I really think it just needs a good repair and paint job. The cap is almost the show piece and mine was perfect, the paint was like a new car finish and that is how I expect it to be redone. I need to get my FW back so I can do stuff to it and go over every system before I go off the grid for two months. I need to foam in the bottom covering and make sure the mice will not get in like what happened to my TT. My better half freaks out when mice turds are on the stove and counter tops. I plan on doing everything I can from foaming the bottom to fox piss pellets to drier sheets everywhere. Predator pee web site has stuff that people swear by.
