Im finally ready to divulge the final outcome. I did get the trailer back, and they did repair the slide. However i have to tell you that i did make them aware of this thread as they were dragging their feet on getting this done. The guy that was working with me, his first name was Joe, said if i made any more posts on this thread that they may not be willing to work with me any more. I am divulging this now as we have traded in the trailer, as we were having more problems after getting it back, and had to fight to get anything taken care of. This will be my first and last Jayco product that i will own.

I'm betting their marketing director, if he's any good at his job, would not be happy with that statement. Threats like that are not good for business.

Too bad you don't have that on "tape" but I'm sure if you were recording it they never would have said it.

Hate it turned out that way, but we've been in similar shoes before. We've owned 8 rigs, 2 being motorhomes. The first several we had were almost trouble free. The newer and more expensive we got, the more issues we've had. Knock on wood, the Jayco we have now is not perfect, but way better than what we had. In the end (and I'm not being sarcastic) you'll find yourself jumping from one brand to another in hopes of finding that perfect one, and end up like us, with plans to build our own, in our own shop, where QC is far greater than what you get from any mass produced product. We'll keep the Jayco we have until we get tired of it, but still have the prints on the back burner for when we decide to strike the first arc on our own build.

If you live in a state like AZ, you don't have to get permission to tape a conversation, only give =your= permission to tape yourself. ;-) Even then, Joe sounds like a putz.

Too bad it turned out only so-so for you, Mike. I have Jayco on my short-list for my next FW, but there's a couple issues that cropped up on '15 units that have me wondering a bit.

2016 Prime Time Crusader 315rst. PDI is tommorow, so we will see how it goes. I told them that i would be doing my own inspection, and it would take a while, and no paper work would be signed until it met my approval.

If only all buyers had the knowledge to do that it might drive some quality checks before a owner gets home with the rig.

For PDI's, we bring a whole tool bag, multimeter, pull things apart, take access panels off, take drawers out, leak check everything etc etc. Needless to say it makes most dealers nervous. I love it.

Just wanted to report that the PDI went good, could not find any flaws except, one edge trim piece on the main slide out was not trimmed short enough, and would contact the floor about 2'' before fully extended. Dealer fixed it on the spot. We had the most thorough walk threw with the rv tech that i have ever seen done, very nice to see that for a change. We are on day 2 of our shake down trip and so far havent found anything. We will keep our fingers crossed. I must say that the options, and fit and finish on this Prime Time unit, has far surpassed the Jayco, we are very happy with this unit so far.

Just my two cents, I bought a brand new jayco 29.5 BHDS, I call it lipstick on a pig. I hate the POS. Looks pretty at the dealer, till you get into the details and realize the lack of quality control the trailer really has. Amish built, total gimmick.

Slide makes a slapping noise, massive hole in the under belly, brakes didn't work and look like a 3 year old wired them. Trust me, I can keep going. It's lipstick on a pig as they put things that make you look like its awesome, under the hood.. Total POS!

Sorry, but I expected more form a so called jayco.. Yeah.. No.. Next trailer will be a Durango . I'm half tempted to ditch this trailer before its first trip.

Well I call BS on the jayco header and we build it better hype. I was able to walk on my keystone outback and not once felt soft and it was solid no matter where I stepped. I walked on the top of our jayco and I can not say the same. Instantly I noticed a different feel. It was no where need as solid as the hype made it out to be. The laminate on the floor is coming up, couch has a hole... Yeah I won't go more... Overall Jayco is a total piece of junk. Biggest mistake of my life.

Sorry you had a bad experience with your jayco also. They are falling further behind on their quality imho. So far we are very happy with our Primetime Crusader, its been trouble free and the fit and finish is head and shoulders above the jayco.

HA,HA, lipstick on a pig, LMAO! Pretty accurate description though, from our experience.
