marks on floor

I have an '07 36 RLTS. The kitchen slide has started leaving marks on the carpet when moved out. I have placed a thin sheet of stainless (dishwasher front) on the floor before closing to keep from tearing carpet, but it doesn't appear to be that kind of a marking source. The slight mark left on the stainless will wipe off with a dry finger. Added to this info, a while back the rubber slide wipe seal under the slide was torn and damaged in the same spot. I replaced the seals under both slides with one not quite as stiff and it tore shortly after installation. It has not gotten worse from first noticing to date, but I wonder what is causing this. Any ideas?

I also have marks left on my carpet from two slides in the living room area. They are dark skid marks is what it looks like. I think I saw somewhere on lippert's website that they have inserts to place there to prevent this. Sounds like a stop gap measure to me. I also noticed outside underneath the slide there is also beginning a serious scratch on the bottom side of the slide out. That could be a problem in the future. Got plenty of warranty left so may be taking this in to the dealer for their take on this.
