Microwave issues.
On our 2009 Jayco Designer 35RLTS the microwave worked (heated) one minute and the next nothing (no heat). It is mounted over the stove. Trying to remove it from the wall to check it out but no luck. Any ideas? Also if it is not able to be repaired, does anyone know of one that will fit? Dometic no longer makes microwaves, so will need to find a replacement.

Can you post a picture? I replaced mine over the range by removing the screws above and below on the metal brackets that were attached to the old microwave. I purchased one with the same dimensions at Lowes and also installed a ac muffin fan in the space below it to circulate the exhaust air. The vents were not pointed out like the old Dometic.
It has worked flawlessly for 4 years.

Thanks for the info. Will try to get pics asap. I've removed the front grill then the two vertical screws holding it to the overhead cabinet then the long rods that supposedly held it to the wall and then tried to remove it upward from the wall bracket like our local rv center said, but no luck. Can not move the microwave up at all as there isn't any clearance.

I had a 2013 Jayflight 26Bh under warranty when our microwave was doing the same thing. It would heat one time then not work the next or it would start heating then stop. They replaced it under warranty but they said the problem was the key pad not malfunctioning.

Good chance it is the magnetron. They usually have a 10 year warranty, on the part. Labor not included.
Sounds like my microwave this spring. I pulled my Microwave out, measured it, measured the hole, then went looking online. I could not find one that fit my existing trim package.
I ordered the unit below. The face trim, was just a tad bit smaller than the old one and barely covered the wood on the sides. But it fit, and used the same screw holes to secure it.

I was able to use the existing brackets but did have to drill a few small holes in the MW frame to accommodate it. The ac muffin fan I added is powered thru the same ac as the MW, with a small lighted switch on the front panel to remind me when it's own.

Thanks again for the info. I hunted again with flashlights and scope and found one last screw hidden behind an angle piece that was the problem. Microwave is out and going to take it my buddy who is an electronic genius. If it's not the magnetron tube it can possible be fixed, but if it is the tube then replacement time. Now its on to the fridge. That went a couple of days later. Investigation time. Tough summer.

Is your microwave an Apollo Half Time oven? If it is the company offers a complete "guts" made with all new parts in Ohio. You just remove the existing oven, take it out of the outer frame and install the new one in the existing frame. It is a bit pricey at $399.00, but a perfect fit and 24" wide convection microwaves just don't exist other than this one.
