Cannon and Joker, you can take out the front shelf in the closet. Four screws and it will come out in one piece. You can practically climb into the front cap to check things out.
There should be insulation in there.

Mods to 377 RLBH?

Well, Tom...I confess, I finally got around to your armchair USB mod in #2256. I’ve had the part since July, right after you posted it. I love it! DW approves also. Using a 3’ cable here is so much less cumbersome than a 10’ getting tangled by a dinette chair using the power outlet below the dinette.

Even though I lowered the hole center 1/8” below center, it was not enough, and socket and retainer ring still ran into the 3/4” cup holder plywood...so I notched it out a bit. I had to use 3’ more wiring as stock wiring was short. I assume you ran into similar during your install? Did you run wiring under the carpet? I also accidentally crimped the positive wire to my speaker wire negative extension and it stumped me![emoji2959]

Darin

Looks good! My wires are run on top of the carpet. I think I just put it into some split loom. As far as the cup holder clearance issue, either my socket was shorter or the plywood wasn't as big because mine just fit (snug but it fit without any extra trimming)

Magnolia Tom, Thought about you when I came home and seen wife working on her Christmas Village. Picture not very good but it's cousin Eddie's RV and cousin Eddie dumping his sewage. did you get your trailer back yet?

I love it! Maybe I need to get one for my house but I’m not sure the DW would appreciate it. Kinda like in “the Christmas story” when the dad gets the leg lamp...fragile...it must be Italian [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

No, trailer still in Indiana. Should be done by the 14th but I’m hoping sooner.

Tom, I just got finished applying your mod and I must say you are absolutely right. A huge difference in air flow and no air leaking into the attic space. You hit a home run on this one!!

Glad you got it fixed up Al. Jayco really should do that from the factory.

A mod here and another one below in the works.

In an attempt to quiet down the water pump vibration of the water tubes scuffing the fiberglass shower wall.

These water tubes are quite loose and can easily vibrate the fiberglass

With two 8” pcs of swim noodle taped to the wall and wedged behind the linen style, this ‘should’ eliminate the chatter we hear a lot when the water pump is engaged.

This mod done while I’m in the process of looking for a new shower faucet... the factory shower faucet valve in the 2016-2017 377 is leaking cold water into the hot stream at full hot, after 2.5 years fulltiming. So I removed the faucet and did a 20 lb pressure test and it is confirmed.

It’s interesting I’m complaining and not the DW. With our Truma AquaGo, 120 deg is max preset temp, not consumer adjustable. I tested the hot stream from the kitchen and vanity faucets and I’m getting 117-120 degrees with my IR gun, but I’m only getting 102 tops at the shower head.

I guess Amazon is only place to shop for RV shower faucet and not Lowe’s or HD?

Nice solution Darin. Another way to help quiet down the pump is adding an accumulator tank.

No, I haven’t because we never boondock or camp without city water so never use the water pump. Not never but only a handful of times which is usually when we are tailgating.

As for the shower faucet, the only thing I can think of that you might be able to use instead of the cheap plastic shower faucet is some type of laundry or utility faucet that has the threads on the spout. You’d probably need an adapter to connect the shower hose to the garden hose thread on the spout. But the good thing is it would be made of metal instead of plastic. Just a thought if you’re in a pinch.

Thanks Tom, you have lots of ideas to make things work. Well I’m about to install the old faucet reversed, so cold is hot and hot is cold as I the cold side has no leakage to hot and we’ll see what that does until I find a new faucet.

Well I be durned... rotating the faucet worked! The original cold side had no leakage, and now the hot side is using that channel and all is well. I can live with backwards...as long as its hot!

I did. I'll try and get some pics by this weekend. Took more time to move everything out of the way and unscrew the panel. The tank came with a 2" pipe to connect it to the pump so it was "plug and play".
