Yep. I was so excited I didn’t think it through before I started. Now everyone can know for sure, no vinyl under all the carpet

So i found a couple of options for replacing the carpet I took out of the bedroom. They’re all vinyl plank flooring. I’m concerned about the expansion and contraction it’ll have being in a non climate controlled environment when not in use. DW needs to make the selection before I buy it. I’ll probably end up keeping my AC or heat pump always on to maintain a 60-85 degree inside temperature. Or, I just may leave some bigger gaps along the walls and see what happens. [emoji1787]

Well had our first successful long outing with the 377RLBH. Now I have to get hold of my Dealer and Jayco/Morryde. All the hardware on the left side suspension is either loose or missing! Had the links pop off while backing into the driveway. At least made it home before they gave up the ghost!! We'll see how it goes tomorrow when I call!! This has a total of about 1100 miles since new!!

We have these as well. Think the stackable units way about the same as a combo. Way nicer to use!! We don't really miss the closet space with them in there. In fact it actually limits us on the amount of clutter we keep in the closet!!

Wow. You dodged a bullet! That could have been a real disaster towing at highway speeds.

Be glad you had the upgrade shackles. Those flimsy stock ones would not have held up as long or as well

I see no signs of any grease! Get some grease in those wet bolts!! Appears the nuts came off so they were probably never tight.

After replacing my o ring gaskets around the front marker lights, I decided to look at the sealant on the roof. Definitely needed some touch up. So instead of adding more Dicor, I took it off and added eternabond tape

That look nice Tom...mine was pealing big and I just dicor’d it last year. Next time I’m taping.

Also I re silicone (I used black Supra instead) almost everything..the roof where it comes around and gets covered by the edging, cracked open all over.
The black edging/mullion/strip (what ever it’s called) that covers the transition from the wall to the black skirting. It was so bad on the big slide I could pull open it up and see the filon all rotted and falling apart.
Once that silicon cracks on the to, the water goes straight in.
And the tops of the baggage doors and along the black curved trim on the bottom overhang.

Klassic

That is next on my list...recaulk everything

Mine doesn’t show any signs of wear or separation yet, but I’m going to recaulk it all just in case.

It’s been a windy day early on, here at Enchanted Rock, and warm too...I opened up several windows, tryin to relax on my day off, and I’d finally had about enough of the microwave outer vent flapping constantly. And also the window shades doing a tap dance against the wall trim.

Here’s my solution to both:

Surplus adhesive backed Velcro to both shade end caps on all the rear shades.

I used the old stock roll of adhesive backed foam weatherstripping like Tom used for all the weep hole gaps in the windows from post #3034, to quiet both strokes of the plastic flap against the plastic vent cover. This stuff has multiple uses, and yet plenty still left over. I’ll just keep using it until it’s gone...hopefully I’ll get a lot of mileage out of it before it disintegrates(it’s out of sunlight for one).

Good solutions Darin! I may have to borrow the vent flap idea![emoji3]

Thanks Tom. I know you still have plenty of it![emoji23] and you could still use it on the window shade caps as a substitute.

Got my replacement flooring for the bedroom installed today. Got some vinyl planks from Floor and decor. Wife wanted a little lighter color so she chose the Tuscan Griege.

Still need to clean up and find something to trim out the edges. The quarter round is a bit bulky and I couldn’t get it around the curved wall despite making a bunch of kerf cuts and wetting down the backside.

Looks good Tom. You might could use some shoe molding and stand it up on the narrow edge. It should roll around corner.

Looks really good Tom! Pretty close match from what I can see on the color.

Impressive job Tom. My DW is impressed. Your old carpet in front of the dresser looked very new! and a heck of a lot better than ours, which gets used everyday for last 2.7 years. Someday, I’ll be game for this mod.

So, I can get a new mother board for $350 (which is about what I paid for the unit) or look to get something else. For now, the WD is coming out so we can have the extra storage space.

Wish I knew more about circuit boards. I’d try to fix it myself

Hey Tom, there is an interesting fix to logic boards in computers, monitors, washers and dryers on the Internet. Remove it and put it on a piece of paper on cookie sheet, put it in a preheated 450 degree oven for 10 minutes, then let cool. Reinstall. I fixed a flickering 30” Samsung monitor screen(graphic processor board), it still works fine to this day...and also our 8 year old residential Frigidaire dryers logic board, but that fix lasted just 7 months for some reason. New board was $165, found a used dryer for $50.

It’s all about the inferior lead free solder used in these boards that eventually the heat gets to it and causes microscopic cracks and fissures and the electrical resistance goes up and loses critical voltage to where it can’t process instructions. So people do this trick to reflow the solder in various electronics. Even old smartphones. Do some research to what temps and times others have used and you’ll get an idea. The post oven smell will go away in no time if the DW is concerned.

Thanks Cannon. I’m probably going to use some screen mold or something similar to match what the factory did.

It looked good in the picture but wasn’t as nice in person. If you do install new plank flooring it’s a real chore to get them to lift and click when you’re working around furniture that doesn’t move. A peel and stick would be much easier
