So I fixed my washing machine today...got the capacitors in the mail and proceeded to get going.

Here’s one of the bad capacitors that I have the solder pointed towards. The other one is the green capacitor behind it.

Put back in and it’s alive!! [emoji3]
Working as it should.

I bought 2 different capacitors. Each were sold in sets of 8. Each set was a walloping $1.20, plus $3.50 shipping so total was about $6. Not too bad considering a new board would have been $350

DW happy she has washing machine back. Time for a celebratory cocktail [emoji3]

Thanks Jack. You’re right, DW was having withdrawal symptoms without it [emoji1787]

Looks like great soldering job to me! This is coming from someone that was forced by my job to take a soldering class...it didn’t help!

How did you diagnose the bad caps?

Just visually inspected them. The two that were bad had a slight dome on top. So, I figured they had to be the problem. If it didn’t work, I would only be out a few bucks and a little time.

Way to go Tom! Good soldering doesn’t have to win beauty contests, like welding, as long as it holds. No one will ever see it, but for a reborn unit leaves you with a great feeling of accomplishment. Cheers on that cocktail! [emoji481]

Nice fix Tom. Same problem on most flat screen tv's. that quit. Also if you have $500.00 FCM board go bad on your ford diesel it's usually from solder joints that crack from vibration. Remove board re solder all joints and reinstall. Good for another 3 or 4 years.

Yes I used to own several 6.0L Powerstroke diesels so I know exactly what you’re referring to [emoji3]

This is the kit. It includes front & rear, but to answer your question...YES, the rear will require some fabrication. I'm already starting to think about how I can get the 2 remaining arms on the rear.
Hmm, I ordered this kit and went to install it and discovered it was made for a TT? Doesn’t have the “forks” for the landing gear uprights?

Did you mean to link me to this one?

I just double checked my previous order and the one I linked is the one I purchased. Mine came with the forks...the link even shows them being attached to 5th wheel landing legs in pictures in the link. That’s weird!

I just looked at the photo with all the parts layed out and no forks. Bizarre.

Anyway, I just ordered the other kit, will make the trek back down to the rig next weekend to install. 2 week Florida road trip in 2 weeks.

Were you able to use a single shared mounting bracket for the front, like in the photo? Or is the 377 stance too wide for that?

Lol! That’s not what I used. It’s only what I was pointing with. The thin stuff was all coiled up in a little tube so I just grabbed the other roll out of the toolbox

So the install finally is done, looking forward to trying to make the rig rock next week when our road trip starts. We'll see if anyone comes a-knockin'.

Note: for 6 rods and a bunch of hardware, I can't believe how freaking heavy that little box is. My pin weight must have just skyrocketed.

This is the kit that ended up working, I had to use an offset bracket for each of the front cross arms due to the 1.5" tall tube frame in that area:

I tested mine last night with the in-laws in the pull out sofa bed...either no one noticed because we all drank way too much last night or no one was brave enough to say anything [emoji23][emoji13][emoji41][emoji56]

I'm sure you did your very best.

Speaking of screws, what's the protocol with the t-handles? Loosen to raise the landing gear, and then retighten for travel? Or will the handles stay put after loosening?
