My $.02, I really like these type connectors when I need to steal 12 volt power. They make them in different sizes for your gauge wire.

Reminds me of the old knob and tube wiring, simple and effective.

I put in 3way switches at each side of the basement storage so I can turn them all on or off from either side.
I don’t like the motion control lights. I want them all on or all off when I want.

They also go by the name Posi-Tap. They do work well for low voltage.

Tom, ya gotta do the rear stabilizer. The front to back/back to front leverage effect is virtually eliminated. My rig hardly even shakes on the washer spin cycle!

Yeah I do! Just need to round up some supplies to make it happen. Problem is we haven’t been able to camp much so I wouldn’t be able to really test it.

when I added these I simply TEK screwed them to the frame rail so install wasn't too long winded.

I do like the idea of grabbing some power from the sanicon system like you did and making the unit look factory, that's typically more my style anyhow. haha .

Just curious if any folks with the North Point 377 RLBH model between the years 2010 and 2019 have experienced the stress crack on the driver's side, exterior wall, lower/forward corner of the bedroom slide-out ?? I have a 2020 North Point 377 RLBH and the stress crack has showed up a 2cd time after the factory made the 1st repair 10 months ago.

NorthPoint has only been around since 2016.
And almost everyone on this forum with a 377 has the crack. Lol.

Tom started a survey somewhere here about detailing conditions for the crack to happen.

There are many detailed posts about this. Mine was repaired twice at the factory. 8k miles since the second repair and no issues

They added a second support in the LP area.
Removed a portion of the sidewall, bedroom slide and added additional support in the wall forward of the slide. Instead of just gussets they plated the exterior and interior of the wall in the lower right hand corner as you look at the side and through bolted it. You can't tell any difference after they put the sidewall back up. I've got over 8,000 miles since that happened without issue. Although I have added a Flexair pinbox (airbag) and Air bags to my truck as well as shocks to the trailer so hard to say if the repair alone resolved the issue.

We bought the double standard, hooked it up Dec 3, love it. We have the hardest water here in Llano. Amazing difference. Regenned it on Dec 30, still had good soft water. You’ll be amazed.

Mods to 377 RLBH?

Technical mod. Today, I finally finished a project a year in the running of hard wiring the Mopeka Tank check sensors on three 30 lb LP tanks to my house batteries. The 3v CR2032 lithium batteries in the sensors simply don’t last even close to a year as the original ad claimed. Love these sensors a lot. But, I’ve been getting 5-7 mos of battery life and it’s getting to be a bummer having to take all 3 tanks out, remove the sensor, crack open the plastic housing, carefully removing the circuit board without damaging the two thin lead wires to the echo sender, push out the dead battery, push in the new battery, snap the cover back on, reattach sensor, replace tank. Then do this two more times. Just opening the packaging on some of these 3v coin cells is challenging enough.

So after watching a guy on YT make these 20mm false batteries for his gadgets, soldering two lead wires to a couple thin bronze tags with sandwiched sponge tape between had me going. For reducing the current, I’ve tried several 3.3v buck converters with no reliability, most failed and sent 12v through. Then I found a SMAKN 12v-3.3v step down converter on Amazon($7), which has worked flawlessly, even after sitting on my workbench for 7 months, numerous tests from time to time. 3.30v exactly. And it will run all 3 sensors.

The antique bronze tags come in a pack of 200 on Amazon for $9, each with a small hole near the edge. I trim down the negative side with scissors just like the battery so it won’t touch the positive holder. I still have 180 left. The colored wire shorts also on Amazon $7. A dozen leftover. I can mail a set of tags and remaining pin wire in an envelope to anyone wanting to attempt this mod. Just PM me.

Lots of trials and errors on this project covering 3 days and spent $40 on said parts, wire, connectors. Be sure to use a fused positive power lead. I had one laying around from the USB port I installed in the center storage of our twin arm chairs awhile back. It had a 2a tiny glass fuse. Soldering isn’t my specialty, but managed with my old iron, sanded flat excess solder. I accidentally reversed the polarity on one sensor while on the test bench, noticed 20” later after warm wires! Oops. It only showed battery level, signal level, but 0 level after several minutes install. Usual level readings appear in 10” or so of power up. Thought it was a goner, so ordered a replacement. Currently 20% off on Amazon at $36/ea. Later tried on another tank and after 10 min, it showed a level, but only 1 star of 3 quality. So, it somehow came back to life and is working perfectly now with 3 stars. Totally happy now as I no longer need to fool with batteries that drain quickly and read weak in cold weather.
