My dealer is pushing that shackle kit. I think it's a good idea.
On my dump trailer there was nothing left of them. Almost broke through.

There's no point making a new thread for this.... I'll share it with you guys. Today I hooked up one of my upfitter switches to a weather proof relay so I can shut off my reverse lights when backing up in the dark. The reflection is blinding. Not no more!

Funny enough, I just requested info on the independent suspension and disc brake kit from MorRyde about an hour ago. I'm guessing $6000, though I've heard a range of $5000-$7000. I'll let you all know more when I hear something.
Who here has done the disc brake conversion, and what brand did you use?

Lots of pics during the install Tom. I'm very envious/jealous that ya'll are doing mods to the 5er! I'll be blowing my wad on a new roof and my vehicle deductible from all this darn hail damage!

Start a new thread Danno. Again..pictures or it didn't happen.
I would LOVE to see the roof without the membrane, so I can see why the rounded edge is buckling so much.
Wasn't it you that had severe buckling and popping staples?

Just got an initial quote from MorRyde, and depending on whether they install the 7k or 8k independant suspension and disc brakes, we're looking at between $5700 and $6200 plus tax. Presented that to my missus, and think I may have seen a little Bruce Banner, but no Hulk, soooo ....

Ya'll pay for the parts and that's a done deal! Not liking this 1% deductible in TX on homeowners insurance! Here's one pic of the roof with a patch..you can see the other hole in the roof in the same pic. I've got a total of 16 holes in the roof that have been patched.
