Sorry to hear it’s not standard on the 2019. I saw this picture on Jayco’s website for the 2018 North Point. Not sure which model, but I mistakenly assumed the 3 in a row pull design would continue to the 2019 line. My bad. Click image for larger version

I do like the idea of electric valves that can be activated on the command center or with a smart phone. That way it can be done from inside the rig, or if you’re in the shower or it is raining outside, or if you’re alone it can save you time as you multitask the inside of the rig. Or if you drained and forgot to push in and on your last night at a campsite and need to fill the greys for flushing the sewer hose.

Not sure about the blurring, but I’ll see if I can upload them on YouTube tonight. If someone objects or is offended, I’ll gladly take em down. Otherwise I’m on iPhone and they look awesome when sent to other iPhone owners. Alternatively, Pm your ph number to me. But give me chance to upload all 6 videos. About 5 min total length.

Wouldn’t surprise me! The plans are more like guidelines really, grab what’s laying around. When I saw the 377 at the Hershey RV Show a last September it had the theater seats from the Pinnacle (without arm rest) in it. I asked about it and after checking it was confirmed to me that the wrong couch had indeed been installed.

Actually I have found the NP to be more “standard” than the Aerolite I had. I would see differences in where outlets and light switches were all the time. Also saw some with bathroom door hinges on the opposite side. It was amazing. But that trailer held up better than my 2019 in NP so far.

Seems that a few of us remember that error, including me. The new owner of that unit is actually on this forum, he states that they took care of it for him.

Here they are, YouTube videos uploaded of the Middlebury assembly line of the 2016 North Point 377 RLBH, 3/21/16 guided tour. I shot these videos on an iPhone 6S+ in 1080p and I apologize for the first one I held in portrait mode, it is rather short and only came in 480p for some reason, as also one other came in 480p and not 1080p. Not fair YouTube! The second and third ones show the exposed undercarriage items and the trailer frames get flipped which is pretty neat to watch. Notice the four holding tanks locations.

Some of those are scary. The slide install, the whole camper moved as they were jamming it in the hole. And the questioning about the daily quota. Loved it.

What I have read in multiple places is that they have to meet the quota. Doesn’t matter how long it takes. So if they have to make 8 in one day and they finish at 1 pm there done. If they finish at 6 pm so be it. I was also told that they only QC inspect 1 out of 5. The rest just get sent out the door without a glance.

When we toured the Jayco plant in July 2016, their daily quotas were 10 & 12 / day. They had a calendar displayed the identified the daily quota for the day, each day was either 10 or 12.
They also indicated when we were there that they only do a full QC on 1 out of 5 units.

We also toured the Grand Design factory and their daily quota was set at 12.
We toured the Grand Design factory ~2pm and all the workers were long gone by then. I think they started around 5am or 6am, so they met their quota of 12 in maybe 8 hrs. So that's averaging 1.5 hrs or less on each unit.

IMO when the RV manufacturers are going full out as they are now, it's not the best time to buy an RV. Because of the high demand RV manufacturers are in a hiring frenzy, so you have more less experienced workers building RVs as fast as they can, which has to impact the quality of the end product.

I hate to say it, but it seems like the best time to buy an RV is when the industry is in a recession. Most of the inexperienced workers have been laid off, leaving the most experienced workers building the RVs with lower daily quotas. Maybe the quality of the end product would be better.

Just my theory.

Amazing they can build 10 to 12 a day but takes them 2 or 3 months to fix one.

The reason you saw the whole unit move is that all units are elevated and ride on v notch steel wheels on rails from station to station. Remember the second video where they flipped the frame and it showed the worker installing the rail wheels on the rail. Also notice how even all the units looked (parked) in the fourth video. There are 37 stations and at 10-12 quota per day, each unit takes about 3.5 days to go from sta 1 to sta 37, or to say 10-12 roll off sta 37 each day. Not that 12 units are made start to finish each day. You have to visualize all this, or better yet take the tour and see how amazing the operation actually is. Also, it was noted on the tour there are about 140 or 160 (can’t remember which, but 40% are Amish) workers at those 37 stations, avg 2-4 workers per station, and a separate area where the cabinets get constructed that we really didn’t tour, but could see the area in a distance. So in other words, quite a few man hours are spent on each one from start to finish.

Well you got me wondering, so I went to check mine. No electric grille, but a 3rd a/c option. This is an early 2017 377. Shall we all compare our labels?

Mine's a late 17 and said 3rd a/c. Makes me wonder if there is wiring in the loft at roof vent. Not sure what good it would do. You could only run two at a time unless you ran separate hook up to outside pedestal. Would be nice of wiring was already there.

Same. Bummer is, it sounds like they got rid of the double gray tanks on the 2019's.

Also, I would not mind hearing a little more on this mystery mod either. Even a little hint would be nice

Interesting...never knew that was an option

I checked the breaker and it is wired but I can’t figure out what it’s wired to! Checked the outside fridge, cooktop, various outlets and nothing. I’m stumped
