Nope, I don't have this issue but then again I've only pulled it a few times.

Did you have a very hard stop at some point?

no , i've pulled it maybe 5 times. I would say around 500 miles top. The only thing I can see it's the dealer with the forklift.... Or it was like that when I bought it in October last year and never saw it before.

The mover the dealer uses would make sense as I know what my dealer uses does not include a plate that would distribute the weight.

What are you pulling it with? It looks like your head maybe undersized resulting in that flexing.

I have an elite head which contacts the pin plate fully.

I'd send the pics to Mor-Ryde to see what they have to say. I also bet on the dealers mover.

I have a reese hitch that make contact all the way , that's why I didn't understand how it could bend like that. If you look at the 2nd pic , you can clearly see that the pin was forced down. Like the forklift jammed and he tried to pull it down with force. I know that I did not lift the truck with the fifth wheel so... I just did not notice before so I can't really blame the dealer for sure. And since I don't have such a good relation with the dealer , i'll contact mor/ryde directly to know what they think of that.

Update

Hi ! I contacted mor ryde and showed them theses pictures and this was the response.

Thank you for the pictures! I shared these with our engineer. He advised that the slight flex in the lower plate is quite normal and does not affect the safety nor the performance of the pin box.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Kind regards,

Would tou be satisfied with this answer ?

Considering the plate is mounted via nylon bushings, I'd agree that "some flexing" would be normal.

However, any cracks or truly distorted metal would be a cause for concern.

You've documented your situation with Mor/ryde. Now check the pin box before and after each tow. Any changes, especially, cracking, warrantee claim!
