More bad news with my 321RSTS

Well, as some of you know that I took my 321rsts in for them to repaint my front cap and some other items under warranty of course.

So I got an text today saying that they found a defect in my rear wall so they have to replaced my rear wall, (whattttt, are you joking). They had to get approver from Jayco to replace it so it look like that they will be keeping it a little longer, bummer.

But I am so glad that they found it when they had it so they could see that it needed to be replace, it would have been bad for us going down the road and my rear wall fall out, lol.

It is what it is they are going to take care of it though, now should I tell my wife with what they said if I tell her she might want to chew them out so I might keep it to my self, if I can.

Big1, hope that doesn't interfere with your planned trip! Exactly what was the defect?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing I ask him to send me some pics but he said that it’s hard to see it in the pics.

He said that where the back window is that a large area by the window didn’t bond correctly from the factory. I’m glad that he was able to find it now instead of us having going down the road and the back wall fall out, that wouldn’t be good.

So my warranty is up this February so it’s just in time, I’m glad about that but will keep you posted.

Sounds like de-lamination do to a bad glue job. Doubt the wall would have fallen off

The bigger question is "how long will it take for Jayco to get it safely to the dealer?" We are still waiting on the sheet metal to arrive (3rd delivery) from Jayco since late May. The previous 2 were dented/bent when delivered.

Wow....a new rear wall. That’s pretty significant. Did you point out an issue to them, or did they just happen across this?

I would not like that but they have my 5th wheel now at the dealer and he told me that he sent Jayco mamufactured they had requested some pics from the dealer.

The Service guy said that he sent them and the factory approved the work on it. Okay they did send me one pics but I can't see it too good. The CS at the dealer said something about that they have to replace the rear wall ( really ) the dealer said that he have place in the order, hmmm.

I'm alright with it now since I'm not using it and that my warranty is over this February but I guess that it's three years on the structure, anyway I will keep you guys posted.

Yes, reading the CS text he said that he will have to replace the whole rear wall, hmmm, I don't know but it's too bad I can't trade it in for a Pinnacle 32rlt.

No, I didn't point it out to them they found it which I'm glad. Yeah he told me that he have to replace the whole back wall, he did send me a pics of the back side and yeah I can see that it can be a big problem.

Big1, I had a similar issue with my back wall. On both sides of the rear window about halfway between the window and sidewall on each side it looked like water damage. No water leak so it must have just been delimitation. Fixed by warranty BUT the tech used brad nails that were way too long and penetrated the outside wall in many spots. Dealer fixed that issue and repainted. Can't tell it ever happened.

Taking mine back later this month to have the front, faded cap repainted under warranty. Just trying to keep mine in shape where it can be sold.

At least you have a dealer that didn't try to just blow this off. Rare find these days!

Big1 More bad news

I just purchased a 2020 Eagle HT 27.5RLTS. Will keep my eyes peeled on the back wall. If it was my RV I think I would be down at the Dealers Monday morning for a look see at the back wall. Just saying!!!!!

That is a Miracle, if you are dealing with Camping World / Gander RV. They must think you are a Witch Doctor and if they do not fix it ,you will put a Bad magic spell on them..

About a year or so ago they had some management changes on all sides of the house. Since that happened, my service has exceeded my expectations.

Yeah, and that is what I took mines in for, for them to repaint my front cap and they ran across the back wall.

Yes, I would keep an eye on it also and the front cap make sure it's not fading.
