Question MorRyde Pin Box Q

We've owned the 5th since new and we're a bit over 2 yrs at present. I noticed on the last trip the hitch seems to be "clunking" a bit more than it did previously. Nothing harsh, just a noticeable clunk when transitioning from pull to brake or the opposite.
I've inspected it (haven't taken it apart) and the rubber spring seems to be intact and the front and rear bumpers are in place. With some effort I can get a little movement and the sliding portion seems to return to its centered position.
Anyone with similar experiences? Does the spring wear out and get weak?
It's also possible that the clunk has always been there and I've just gotten paranoid.

I have the same pin box on this rig and another. older one I feel a little clunking and am sure it is coming from slop where the hitch is pinned to the floor brackets. Over 6 years there seems to be just enough wear in that area to allow a slight movement. I'm not sure how to fix it and it is not a great concern. It did not do it for 3-4 years. When new the pins had to almost be driven in and now they are easily pulled out by hand.

The rubber in the Mor/ryde has specs on how large the cracks in it can be and they can be replaced. I have never had any problems with mine.
