I actually made my gap almost an inch to get the stairs against the outside of the threshold. Since top of mount is angled this also gave a hair more clearance for the door.

I also removed this from under the door which you can see the area in above picture where it was rubbing on the top of steps mount. Once I did this door shut smoothly. Don’t know what this was for and if removing was bad idea? I could always sand shorter and epoxy back on.

Contacted Amazon and told them I wasn’t happy with the box damage and a couple of scratches and they refunded 20% so I’m happy. These steps are awesome and dogs like them much better also.

Tom I had some time today, so tried the steps again every way I could think of.

I guess I see what the lady at MORryde is talking about with my flat threshold. There is no way these will work. Tried sliding hinge all
the way against threshold and also steps tight against outside threshold.

Could not shut either door.

Stinks you can’t get them to work. I need to check my threshold as I don’t remember it being much taller, if any, than yours

My threshold is 3/4” tall. Just about the same as yours. Your door and screen must be a little different

Tom

Not sure. Would have thought all Jayco fifth wheels would use same threshold.
Guess not.Click image for larger version

If it would have only been the screen door, I would have cut it down.

But main door can’t close either.

If the stairs would have NOT damaged, I might have considered replacing this threshold, if I could have gotten one like yours

I’m still wondering what is different. You photo with the level and almost 3/4” threshold height looks exactly like what I have. But your other pics look like your threshold is dropped down and flushed with the flooring.

Maybe you need to look into the torklift glowstep revolution set of stairs.

These are from the inside where I have 3/4”

Think the threshold is too flat on the part where doors actually sit when closed.

Your threshold looks angled just like mine. Just making sure you removed that transition strip in front of the threshold? My door was tight until I removed that nub I posted a pic of above.

MORryde steps STP-4-30-03H

Mine looks just like yours too Jack.
Did you remove the piece of the threshold with 3 screws like estesbubba asked?

Never mind...I see they’re on their way back to amazon

I've been following these step posts closely b/c I desperately want to add these to my rig (a 2017 377rlbh).

I looked into it last year and all I remember is being spooked enough by something I measured in the qualifier to not want to go through with it. I've nearly convinced myself that it's the part about the top of sill to bottom of door gap measurement.... but seeing Magnolia Tom's install got me all riled up again. Now Jasum's issue spooked me. I admit that looking at most of the pics and I dont see anything much different from my camper (unfortunately my camper isn't immediately accessible). Looking closer tonight I see a difference in the seam where the fiberglass meets the lower skirting. The pic with the steps is from one of Magnolia Tom's post. notice how the seam line jumps up at the door bottom. The other picture is my camper....notice how the seem and the bottom of the door are in line. Im wondering if that difference is the difference between the steps working or not.
