We have a lot of mosquitos here and they enter somewhere inside the rv. I cant figure out where they come thru. I also blocked with screen under the stair but it no better.

Citronella candle inside the RV.

Only way to keep 'em under control!

You'd be amazed at how many "piggy back" when you enter or leave your trailer. We had a few on our trip last weekend, I watched around me as I got in and out and noticed they hang around the door and work their way in.

They are masters at sneaking in. Like Doc said, they'll hitch a ride on you, your pet, your kids, etc. Keep a lot of dryer sheets on hand. Put one in your pocket and a couple near the door.

Glad we don't have to worry about mosquitos any more but when we lived in northern BC they were at times nearly unbearable. Check out the Thermocell Mosquito Repeller – Olive | Thermacell

We pulled into a site one time and mosquitos were so bad you could hardly stand to be outside the vehicle. Within a few minutes of turning on a couple of the thermocells our site was clear of bugs and stayed that way until we turned them off to leave. They are odorless and leaving one on the RV step keeps the RV and the site most of the site free of mosquitos.

I did not know about these. I just looked it up. Not too expensive and it's nice to have someone reliable to endorse it. Thanks!

Agreed. I've been looking at getting one. You know the mosquito is the TX state bird?!

Not really, it's the Mocking Bird, but some of our mosquitoes (esp this year with all the rain and the extremely mild winter) should be regulated by FAA to have tail numbers and navigation lights!! The frogs and bats are eating well, I can tell you that much!

Any hunter could tell you about Thermacells. I carry one in my truck all the time. It has helped out on a few occasions.

One of the worse We have run into was camping in Charleston SC near the beach. These were the very little sand mosquitoes. I think they could fly right through a screen without slowing down haha...

The locals there said this was a rare thing as most of the time the incoming sea breeze keeps them controlled... Sure was not happening on that trip haha...

We found some of those little buggers in the Bahamas a few weeks ago! Worst little insect I've ever encountered (and I've encountered my fair share!) They were tiny for the amount of damage they could inflict! Way worse than most normal mosquitoes, even here in TX! DW had so many bites, you could draw constellations on her legs after only about 5 minutes of exposure! And painful too!

I've tested a camping hack solution, with rubbing a Bounce dryer sheet on my exposed skin and keeping the same used sheet in my pants pocket! Guess what? It worked! No mosquito attacks and/or bites. Who would have thought?
