DW insisted I do this. While in place I screwed the center board to the left door from the inside after removing the latches. Then took out the top and bottom screws and cut through the bracing board. Left a little overhang to act as a doorstop.

Thats a great idea. I ordered shelf brackets like the ones in the outside kitchen for the 2 wardrobes so I can add shelving in there. I like the open look. The drawers you added are great too. Wish I had the tools and ambition.

Scott, it's not that hard to do. I'm following Tom's lead myself.
I'm starting with the dinette drawers.

BTW, after reading this post below, I would suggest everyone add some support under your dinette seats.
http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f1...led-35807.html

Both long side supports are Only held on by staples. Also the cross-members are only stapled on too. So I added support under the side rails, drilled & screwed the cross-members and added screws to the side rails as well.

Agreed, the dinette construction is weak, will be addressing that and also adding shelves to the rear wardrobe. Maybe after that I'll take a breather and actually try camping lol

Dave, what length screws are you using? I have some work to do. Need to stabilize those myself. I bought gift wrapping storage boxes to put under my dinette, so I can take advantage of the whole space. I do like to drawers though, but the tools and $$ are th eissue

Tom, you'll be enjoying all of your work while relaxing at a campsite soon!

Scott, I have 1 1/4" screws. The only one that is not fully screwed down, is the front, right-hand side rail screw. That one would poke through the outside because of the side board that is exposed. I just screwed it until I started to feel it on the outside before it poked through, then backed it out a turn. All of the others have plenty of additional depth behind them.
If you ever decide you want some drawers, I'll be glad to help. You're close enough to me to bring to rig over someday and bang out a few drawers

BTW, I have pictures but Photobucket is not linking them today!

Screen + high temp duct tape and/or glue gun = no bugs where I don't want them!

Used aluminum screen for the water heater cover, and flexible fiberglass for fridge and bumper caps.

Very nice! Where did you buy the flexible fiberglass?

Either Lowes or Home Depot. They both have a section with a few different types and sizes.

I happened to already have some from replacing a screen window in my house a while back.

Check your water pumps, just found out mine was never screwed down, just floating around in there. Picture doesn't really show it too well. Easy fix just 4 screws and washers

Check your AC too. Apparently washers are in short supply at the Jayco factory.

Thanks Tom, I'll check mine. The more you 'poke' around the more we scratch our heads. Just glad I can fix most of these minor issues myself.

Yup a tape measure and level appear to be optional for the workers. We spend good money for these units and things are randomly spaced and crooked plus half of the screws are stripped.

But once you're around the campfire with a whiskey you realize to not let it bother you. Overall they are very nice with a few annoyances.

Last but not least, converted to a 50A service box for plugging in at home (wired back to a 30A breaker in the main panel)

Tom, I think our wife's have been talking. My DW just asked me over the weekend to make her a Cutting Block to go over the stove too. I'm hoping the 'projects' end soon and Real camping begins! This Thursday can come soon enough!
These look great!
