Quite right, and I'd give credit where credit is due but I wasn't able to find the original post here. Either way, thanks fellow camper, whoever you are!

As with the original, I used thin Birch plywood glued into 1"x1" pine for support (and looks) front and back. I notched the pine 1/4" deep with my tablesaw. Glue, clamp, then stain. ...snip (photos removed)

Ahh, thanks to you then good sir! Fixing those vents made a noticeable difference in air flow for sure.

Now I"ll have to read through all your other work and see what else I can poach for ideas

Thanks, all. I googled 'Speedy Shelf' and found several sources. I believe I saw them at Woodworker.com https://woodworker.com/18-white-spee...su-896-755.asp

Note: I installed shelving to replace a closet in at class B MH using a different shelf support system. For that, the bottom of the vertical support brackets rested on a solid shelf at the bottom. This transferred all the load of the shelving and what was on them through the vertical supports to the bottom, solid shelf. This meant the tiny nails I used for the vertical supports only kept the supports in place; they carried none of the load.

LOL. Excellent point.

Then again, if I had a magazine rack in the bathroom then I wouldn't use that time to browse this forum on my smartphone!

I used Aluminum Foil Tape. Mine is the 2" wide variety, which was just enough. Home Depot should carry it, and there's always Amazon.

Don't read magazines anymore And all my books are on my phone as well.

I got the tape for my ducts at Lowes. I got the thicker stuff (they had three different types).

Did this make a noticeable difference in cooling/heating?

Yes, I felt it made a noticeable difference in air flow out of each vent, definitely worth the hour or so it took me to fix all the vents.

Note that this is only for the AC system. I did also remove and check my heater floor vents and had just one that needed a bit of tape to close off a small gap, the rest were all installed nice and tight.

Thanks for the ideas

It's been awhile since I have been on the forum. It was a pleasant surprise to see that someone has put together a page devoted to our beloved 29.5 BHDS. We love this unit and get a lot of miles out of it. Thanks for putting this together and for all the great ideas. I have subscribed to the thread and hope to add to it once I get a chance.

Mike
