My Propane Sensor Won't Stop Beeping

Most of the time! When the propane sensor is going off! is because your 12volt camper Battery is going or is BAD! before you replace your sensor or cut the wires, disconnect the wires going to your camper Battery and check the voltage! IF lower then 12volts most likely a lot lower then it is the battery triggering the sensor because of LOW voltage. this devices in their Firmware are programed to do this!

That one looks different from any I have ever had. I would concentrate on lifting that tab on the cover to get it off then look for a few mounting screws. The only way to quiet mine is to remove 12vdc by removing a fuse in the dc panel or cutting a wire that comes into the unit. Usually there is a wire splice back there.
Google the numbers and get a replacement that fill the hole.
I have a portable backup that I can plug in an outlet until the new unit can be installed.

Being a relative newby.... mine started going off every 2-3 days.... and i would reset it. Then one night... beeeeeeeeeeppppppp.... and it wouldn't reset. Cut one of the lead wires to silence it. Did research, and made aware my alarm had to be replaced after 5 years which is the age of my RV. So, I replaced it - (part is not cheap, but then life matters more). Good for another 5 years.

Just disconnect or cut wire....go to Walmart and buy a battery operated one and keep it inside

My 2011 eagle was flawless, but that doggone sensor was problematic from the get-go. I finally just got sick and tired of it and cut the wires, tape them off and went with my own version.

for those who are replacing it with something else... you need to know that it is a dual purpose unit..

It is a Propane monitor AND a Carbon Monoxide monitor

Our 2015 Greyhawk class C has a monitor, beeps for propane, low battery and if auto levelers aren't retracted all the way up. Just sayin' !
