Mystery Pipe Under Sink

It's not a vent or a plumbing pipe at all. It's the storage location for the roll up sink dish strainer. It stores vertically in this location in the pipe. The cutting board opposing side of the sink then stores between this strainer and the wall of the cabinet.

Mystery pipe under sink

Its a place to put the rolled up drainer from your sink.

I don't think anybody's mentioned this yet...
but it's where the rolled up dish drainer can be stored.
