We just bought our first new fifth wheel, 2015 jayco eagle ht 29.5 bdhs, my question is in the battery compartment there is a on -off switch on the front to the right, any ideas

Our 5er has a battery cut off switch in the battery box area. If you store your rig for any extended time without having it plugged in the battery will go dead . I usually keep mine off until I use the rig

Thank you, no it's not the battery disconnect switch, it's on the front wall in the battery compartment, I took a pic but not sure how to get it on here

Could be work lite or if it's close to an outdoor water shower, could be water pump

Ok, not a batt cutoff switch. Maybe a light?
Can you post a pic?

its the switch above the battery vent hose, doesn't turn on any lights, outside water pump is on other side of camper.

Welcome to the forum....

To post a pic you need to click of post reply and not quick reply. On the top of the tool bar you will see a paper clip icon....use the to post pics. You select the pic that you want and upload it.
