Need advice on purchase

I am about ready to take the leap and buy an Eagle HT 27.5 rlts. I am a full timer and have been in a Mercedes Sprinter B for the last two years. I have decided that I am ready for more room (but still a small rig) and a separate mode of transportation. I am looking at two different units. One is 2016 and I probably can get it in the low 30,000. It has the fireplace I want, but that is the only extra feature it has. It has the older style mattress and does not have the Reese Revolution pin. The other I am looking at is a 2017 and will be in the high 30,000. It has the newer mattress. It also has the Reese Revolution pin as well as a dry camp prep, which I would really like, and other upgrades that are nice but not important. I don't know what you can add on down the road. If I get the older one, can I replace the pin for the Reese Revolution? Change mattresses? Add dry camp package? I appreciate any advice!

Be concerned about what tow vehicle you have too...or plan to get in the future.
An HT won't tow level with a 2017 SuperDuty. The truck sits too high.

Welcome to the forum. You should be able to change the pin box and the mattress. I don't know what the dry camp package is so not sure on that one. May be better off to pay a little more and get the 2017 with the options you want.

Thank you, Klassic. I didn't know this. Is this true for the Silverado 2500 and the Ram 2500?

Try a new thread about towing an HT with new 3/4 ton trucks. I know there are guys here with real world experience.
I have no first hand experience with HT's, but I had to lift my Northpoint to get level with my TV, I'm at a minimum 6" over the bed rails and a Northpoint sits much higher then the HT.

There was a recent thread about someone trying to rise their rig to get level to the truck and was running out of ideas. Mind you nothing $$ can't fix.

Just something to keep in mind. Don't let the salesman tell you everything will work unless you see it with your own eyes....or someone on his forum tells you it's good. Lol.
