Need help/advice

Hello kind folks. We have a new to us 2014 jayco eagle ht 26.5 rks. Other than a couple minor issues, it's like brand new and we love it. One thing I've noticed and read about is the siphoning of a 1/3 of our fresh water tank. Yes I've read other posts about fixes. My question is I was able to look at the backside of our gravity fill port and there is already a line hooked up to the vent on that port. So can I just block off the offending line underneath by the axles and just use that vent like my old camper, or did jayco fubar the system to where both are needed?

Thank you in advance.

Good question. We have two tanks, and a vent next to the gravity fill also, but that's only connected to the front tank. The tubes under your RV and ours are meant as overflows more than vents. It would take a call to Jayco to query their reason for the way they designed it that way. I just added valves on the ends of ours.

Mmm, I wonder if I have 1 or 2. I'm having an issue with not being able to draw from my fresh water tank as well. Before I get a bunch of easy funds, yes the pump works, I winterized it last winter. So it draws from the winterization tube, but not the tank tube. I switched the 2 valves by the pump in every combination possible and no go. Luckily I dont need the tank this year.
